(6,995 posts)So even if Bernie gets his catch up target 120 delegates out 183 in the next 4 contests leading up to California, Hillary will still get 63 delegates.
This will put her at needing 248 to get 2026 on June 7. She can get that just in California with doing 45% or better, and she only needs about 36% over all when you include the other primaries that day.

(10,500 posts)she would have won. Oregon and Kentucky are winnable, as long as Hillary's team doesn't let themselves be convinced that those states are supposed to be in the Sanders column.

(4,640 posts)I live in Indiana. I know for a fact that there were plenty of R crossover votes against her, just from what people I know were saying. All Trump supporters, by the way.
I EXPECTED her to lose the state for a few reasons, including that the gun nuts that live here and think that tightening regulations on firearms means that someone is taking 'em all away.
I was surprised she won my county, but happy that she did. More importantly, given that the primary was open, she DID win the diverse counties (Marion and Lake).

(4,542 posts)We got our Oregon ballots in the mail about ten days ago. We can mail them back or drop in secured drop boxes in lots of public places. We dropped ours Saturday. The poll may be accurate, we are loyal democrats here. Got my hopes up.

(15,368 posts)Indies and crossover GOPers were her undoing there, just as they have been in other open primaries.
Once again, ALL primaries should be closed, IMO.

(2,897 posts)every BS'r, Andrea Mitchell, and MSNBC will point to this as an epic upset even though they have been claiming that Sanders would win here for weeks.

(1,580 posts)I don't know about that poll being accurate there was something said about a large influx of voter registration. However benchmark politics has her up there by about 2 points and they have been pretty accurate this season.

(15,368 posts)IMO, but I will still hope for a victory in OR!

(740 posts)...percentage Sanders usually gets most of them, unfortunately.

(11,581 posts)WA State had no shortage of young white males showing up to caucus and went way too far to Bernie. I really think he got more delegates here than he would of if it had been a closed vote.
Maybe the lone senator who endorsed Bernie (Jeff Merkely) because he was pandering to his supporters in Oregon will change his endorsement now!
