When will the party have a talk with Bernie and Jane?
He is one angry guy right now. I liked him and could see voting for him up until a couple of months ago. He is crazy angry right now, my feeling is he is weakening Hillary with his constant attacks. Can't the party do something?
Maybe I am being simplistic, but I swear he should lose any power he has been given in the Senate after this fiasco.

1. Won't happen, He has never been a part of the Party, so they could care less
But he sure is one angry person right now and might have the big one if he doesn't step back. His face looks like he is about to explode. Oh, and that "power" thing. You can count on it. He hasn't helped the first Democratic Party candidate running for the Senate. I guess he doesn't know that for anything to get done, it will take at least a Democratic majority in the Senate. His followers are not voting for downticket candidates either.

He could be told to caucus with the Republicans, who would not give him anything to do but vote.

for his vote in a close senate. It has happened before to people who do not play nice.....

9. They won't send him to the dark side, but there's talk about taking away his committee memberships.
I asked this very question to my senator in March when my poli sci class visited D.C. She assured me that the vast majority of super delegates were firmly behind the 'established Democratic candidate' and that they were not only becoming angry at 'someone' who claimed to be a new loyal party member bringing so much division, but they were planning to write into the platform a new time requirement for anyone wanting to run in the presidential Democratic primary.

He has taught us all an important lesson. Populism really means mindless greed and unchecked power at either end of the spectrum.

38. A new time requirement before someone
runs for President as a Dem is something that Bernie's candidacy has shown is VERY badly needed and I am delighted to hear that this is being discussed and will - hopefully - be implemented at a VERY high level. I know that I myself have written to party officials whom I know and have worked with recently as well as to my Dem Senators and Rep about this. I have been literally irate with the Sanders campaign's behavior since the shenanigans in NV. Things have quickly gone downhill from there.
No one had ever dreamed that ANY Dem candidate would ever act so much like a GOPer as Bernie has. What a disillusionment his candidacy has become! What a shame! |

He'll end the primary with less delegates and votes, and his "contested convention" will last one round and be over. Personally, I'd love it if some cameraperson gets a reaction shot of his face when Clinton is affirmed as the nominee.

that's all he is. Took advantage of the DNC's voter data, got exposure on the DNC debates, didn't campaign for even ONE down ticket Democrat, or run any fund raisers for other Democrats. Lets face it, he never would've gotten all the media attention he's received if he'd run as 3rd party candidate. He's a grifter, leech and a pimple on the ass of the Democratic Party.

Filing jointly makes him co-responsible.
It turns out she has a financial "history" that causes Bernie even more problems. But he has actually profited from her "extra" income. She may soon be looking up at the underside of the bus. Bernie is a party of one, after all. |

The party would be wasting its time.
I envision that Bernie will disrupt the Democratic convention. There will be demonstrations outside the convention center and inside. The party needs unity at the convention and Bernie won't provide it. The Republicans will love it, and there will be little or no convention bounce in the polls for Hillary. That's the Bernie legacy. |

I can't recall any other politician ever having that effect on me just through his or her campaign. My first inkling of his nastiness was when he was confronted in Seattle by two BLM activists and totally lost his s**t. I had friends who'd stood through a couple of hours of a rally about Social Security just to see him and he just walked off the stage and left without speaking. Red-faced, of course.
