Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumMy post was hidden, but I stand by my position and have no regrets.
The alerters point to my transparency page. Yes, I've been "hidden", suspended and will likely be banned in the future.
But I'm speaking MY truth and have no regrets.
I am very disappointed that DU allows for the silencing of people of color, women and other protected groups---even in protected spaces.
I will continue to speak up. Hides or no hides.
I will continue to speak out against injustice, whether that injustice emanates from the Hillary Clinton camp or the Bernie Sanders camp.
I still believe that Bernie Sanders--once an honorable man--is flat-out LYING to his supporters, making them believe that he has a viable path to the Democratic Party nomination when he knows that he doesn't.
And whenever I can, I will speak out on this subject until things change.

(297,200 posts)I don't think he was ever "an honorable man".. not from the history I've seen.. but opinions will vary on that.
He disgusts me, too.. all those attempts to dismiss the Black Voters in the South as conservative states while reveling in his red state caucus wins?! What's up with that?
It came back to bite him, though.. he lost.

You have a right to an opinion whether they like it or not.
At some point you just have to say It Is What It Is, Good, Bad, Indifferent.
I support you!

(31,823 posts)If you want to be honest and state you hate Sanders - I don't see what the issue is?
It's just an opinion - folks need to stop getting angry that others hold opinions of people that differ from theirs. What is this? The 8th grade? We all have to like Suzy because she is the Queen Bee?
Nonsense.

(20,450 posts)and jury system and (2) the administrators ***allowing*** it. I think #2 bothers me more than #1.
JustAnotherGen
(31,823 posts)I know YOU don't - but they have a serious problem with you disagreeing with them.
And I agree - they misused the alert system. It was an opinion and they got lucky with that jury.
It did not break TOS. You should alert on the hide so that Skinner can 'log this' when they shift to the new moderating/jury system whatever he and his business partners have planned.

Walk away
(9,494 posts)they will probably end up being a national embarrassment. They really are just immature bullies. They made Trump look great with their stupid behavior in and outside of Trump rallies. Now they are acting like idiots all over the country.
The climax in Philly should seal the deal for them. Nationally televised violent behavior! No one with a brain will want to admit being a part of that Goon Show. Hopefully, they will bury the Sanders' revolution.

Eugene McCarthy did not become President. Richard Nixon did.

His silly pop songs are the ones that kill me now. Raspberry Beret, stuff like that. Go figure. I was at the gym just a day or two after he died. Walked past the spin room and the instructor was blasting one of those. I almost fell down. Too soon, spin lady, too soon....

(25,471 posts)Some of them aren't Democrats. Some of them aren't even liberals. The ones who are legit Sanders supporters are slowly realizing that it's nearly the end of the road, and some of them are devolving into an angry mob.
You can't tell a mob much of anything, even the obvious. At this point, I don't think they're worth the effort (not that we don't try) and not worth getting banned over. We've been told that things will change when we have a nominee, which looks like June 7th.
Liberal_Stalwart71
(20,450 posts)It's not that I spend too much time caring about what they did; my greater concern is about how Sanders and his supporters' behavior will hurt Democrats in the long run by giving ammunition to the ReThugs.
TwilightZone
(25,471 posts)2008 was pretty antagonistic, but it really didn't bleed over into the GE as much as I thought it would. Hillary bowed out graciously, endorsed Obama, and most of the primary season faded away.
If Sanders does what I still expect him to (somewhat naively, perhaps), once he endorses Clinton and once the rest of the Democrats who are waiting for us to have an official nominee to voice their support of Hillary (President Obama, for example) chime in, I think the primary season will slowly fade away and the drive to the GE will take over.
As for ammunition for Trump, the GOP has tried their best for 25 years. Whatever Sanders gives them really can't be much worse than what they already have planned. Maybe I should be more worried about that aspect of the primaries, but I think she can handle whatever gets thrown at her.
In the end, I think most reasonable people on the left, most Sanders supporters included, will mull over the possibility of President Donald Trump and act accordingly. If not, screw 'em. lol
