DNC to ask Sanders, Clinton to denounce Nevada behavior

DNC to ask Sanders, Clinton to denounce Nevada behavior
By Jonathan Easley - 05/17/16 02:31 PM EDT

The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee on Tuesday said chaos on the floor of the Nevada State Democratic Party convention last weekend was "troublling."

“We will be reaching out to the leadership of both of our campaigns to ask them to stand with the Democratic Party in denouncing and taking steps to prevent the type of behavior on display over the weekend in Las Vegas,” Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the DNC chairwoman, said in a statement.

“Our democracy is undermined any time threats, intimidation, physical violence or damage to property are present. If there are legitimate concerns, they must be addressed in an orderly, civil and peaceful manner.”

Well, let's face it. The behavior came from the Sanders crowd, not the Hillary crowd. stopbush May 2016 #2

Team Hillary will have no trouble joining the DNC in their denunciation.

Sanders has already issued a "no apologies" press release.

Couldn't be any clearer which side needs to be denounced.

Nevada Democrats: Sanders campaign has violent streak
Michael Briggs, a Sanders campaign spokesman, said, "We do not condone violence or encourage violence or even threats of violence." He added that the campaign "had no role in encouraging the activity that the party is complaining about. We have a First Amendment and respect the rights of the people to make their voices heard."

I will wait and see if Sanders says anything.
