..................

NBC News tweeted at 9:23 p.m. ET that Clinton was the "apparent winner," and as of 10:10 p.m. ET, the Associated Press, CNN and Fox News were all still classifying the race as too close to call.

Kentucky's Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) called into CNN and said Clinton is the "unofficial winner" of the Kentucky primary. Clinton also declared victory for herself in a tweet.

Congratulations @HillaryClinton! Kentucky Primary winner!

Van Jones: Bernie and Weaver Made a ‘Big Mistake’ on Nevada, Should Learn From Gandhi

By Peter Daou
May 17, 2016

Van Jones appeared on CNN and addressed Bernie’s disappointing response to death threats from his supporters against Nevada’s Democratic Party Chair.

Van Jones:

I think both Weaver and Sanders missed an opportunity tonight. What’s a standard when somebody in your movement does something violent? The standard is Gandhi. If he found out there was one person assaulted he would shut the movement down for two years. I think there was a big opportunity for Sanders to come out and say full stop, no threats against anybody. He did not do that and I think that was a big mistake.

Van Jones: it is a character moment for @SenSanders - there is a nasty edge to his campaign.

I think Sanders thought he would win both states and get a YUUUUUGE blow out in Oregon. Instead, he probably came out 10 delegates ahead tonight.

I actually thought he might win California but now I'm pretty sure his race is run.

Hillary was awesome. She decided, focused and won a state that should have been an easy win for Bernie.
