Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumCan I have a sanity break please?
GDP is mental.
I am feeling good after last night. I fully expected a blowout in Oregon a la Washington, and was very pleasantly surprised with Hillary's showing there. And Kentucky! Well done Madame President!
Of course, if you want to lose any good feelings, step into the GDP cesspit. I've trashed the forum before and then put it back on; may need to trash it again.
Anyway, can you please share my good feelings over yesterday's outcome? Hillary is in an extremely strong position going into the convention and the GE. We are going to KICK TRUMP'S ASS!

(41,976 posts)I am a member of several pro-Hillary groups. One very strong group in particular is suggesting we start focusing on Trump, as that is the real fight.
It's happening!

(4,311 posts)And the longer this primary nonsense goes on, the longer we have to wait to focus on the real enemy. You're right, we could just choose to focus on Trump. Unfortunately, HILLARY hasn't been able to turn her focus yet. She campaigned hard in KY for that win. She is tireless; it's me who's tired.

(25,471 posts)I think some of them are just playing dumb trying to bait Clinton supporters into a hide-worthy response. I find it difficult to believe that the level of ignorance displayed by a few is even possible. There's also been an influx of trolls, but that's nothing new.
And, yes, we're going to kick Trump's ass. We also need to get Hillary a more progressive Congress, since contrary to what Sanders supporters seem to believe, she can't make all the laws herself.

(4,311 posts)Yes, downticket please! If the president had as much power as some Bernie supporters seem to think, I would be genuinely frightened. I don't know if some of them have never taken a civics class or what.

(107,956 posts)Or is it because Oregon had a closed primary while Washington is a caucus state (thanks to the state Democratic party)?

(4,311 posts)Bernie's campaign is waning, and yes I do think Nevada had something to do with it. No one wants to be associated with the loose cannon campaign - people are edging away, even here on DU. And closed/open/caucus - I think is less pertinent than Hillary following the Obama path of 08 - she's winning with the Obama coalition.

(3,739 posts)find myself in one of the other forums on DU. It is not a good place. My advice is not to go there. It's pretty obvious there are no Democrats there, so why go there? If I want to go to another planet, I might as well watch Fox News.

(4,311 posts)When they trashed Planned Parenthood, screamed sexist slurs at Senator Barbara Boxer, and sent death threats to a woman's child, I think we can all identify them as NOT Democrats!
