When it's NOT Hillary...

Alabama Republican Governor Robert Bentley has a problem that sounds kind of familiar.

Bentley: 'Nothing is being hidden' about personal emails

Edited by me for clarity!

*****
Bentley has been under fire over allegations concerning his relationship with former political adviser Mason since the release of audio tapes on which he is heard making comments of a sexual nature. Bentley admitted talking to Mason inappropriately and apologized, but the governor and Mason denied having an affair. Mason resigned.

The Alabama Ethics Commission has received complaints about the matter, and some state lawmakers have called for Bentley's impeachment.

*****
Bentley was asked, "Why use a private email account for public business and, if you did, shouldn't those be a public record?"

*****
"They are a public record and in fact, whoever wrote the article does not know how to ask for the material. If they would ask for it properly they could get the material," Bentley replied.

"All of that is public record. All they have to do is go and ask the person who either sent the email that's public or received an email from me, and they can get it. That's public record.

"Nothing is being hidden. Everything is open. All they have to do is access it properly."

A few years ago - when you-know-who won the presidency - the state went super-majority Republican for the first time since after the Civil War.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

The Republican governor is under threat of impeachment.

The Republican Speaker of the House is on trial now for 23 ethics violations.

The Republican Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court is suspended pending removal.

It would be a great opportunity if there were such a thing as an Alabama Democratic Party? But that broke up over racial lines.

Actually, Hillary may be the key to bringing the Democratic Party back in the South. Sad, but true.

Just how does Alabama begin to clean the RW stench of corruption out of their hallowed halls?

I expect Hillary must have been gifted with super powers at birth, to be handed the mantel of bringing about a shift in Dem Party dominance.
Somebody has to step forth to begin untieing the knots left by every Republican administration since the beginning of time.

She has her work cut out for her, but seriously speaking, I know of no other with the smarts & strength of purpose to bring that positive shift about.

We need her more than ever in the history of & the future for America.
