She knows that it's more important to show a united front once we have a nominee. Plus, she's already in GE mode, attacking Trump.

I want her in the Senate where she can gain power and influence far beyond that of a VP and not be limited to two terms.

When she does speak out, though, I fully expect the Bernie cult to act with unreasoning rage....

I think it's smart for her to stay out of everything else. When the primaries officially conclude she'll be a strong piece of the unity effort IMO.

I have a feeling this is going to be one big, fat bust of an idea.

The smart Bernie supporters realize it isn't going to change a damned thing, so they won't waste their time.

I would imagine they'll draw people who live within driving or public transportation distance, because there won't be any hotel rooms available and they can just go home at night.

It reminds me of Occupy's "first annual gathering" in Philly a few years back on the 4th of July. They claimed that tens of thousands would show up from all over the country. They wound up with less than 300 people, who started complaining the minute they arrived about the lack of toilets, bathing facilities, and water amid the scorching summer heat.

The point is that whether three people show up or 30,000, there is nothing to be accomplished. HRC will be declared the nominee, no matter how many people on the street scream "We want Bernie!"

If I were Hillary, I would advise Elizabeth to do exactly what she is doing. I would look at her as a voice of reason for the Bernie supporters. Right now, they are in the death throes of their losing campaign and grieving. There are also a few contests left for his supporters to cast their votes even though it will not affect the outcome. The most effective use of E.W. is to be a calming force and act as a segue for BS's supporters in the aftermath of the primary. Although it might be "logical" for her to endorse Hillary now or even chastise the more rabid Berners, it is an emotionally charged situation. For that reason, it is more sensible for her to hold back and maintain what to them feels like their "trust" in the party through her continued neutrality.
