California June Primary Lawsuit Won’t Be Heard Until August
May 24, 2016 3:23 PM

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – A federal judge has set an Aug. 18 hearing date in a lawsuit filed by a Bernie Sanders supporter seeking to extend California’s voter registration deadline ahead of the primary election, meaning the plaintiffs won’t get a hearing before the state’s June 7 primary.

hear every case designed to expand voting rights. But, I also know that, other things being equal, the earlier a case gets filed, the sooner it gets decided.

need to go is to their polling place and exchange the ballot for a Democratic one. This really isn't rocket science. California is very flexible. In fact up until midnight yesterday they could have registered online as a Democrat and still would be able to vote in the California primary

All last weekend they could have registered or re-registered on line, and if they already received a ballot if they registered as NPP and received a non-partisan ballot, just exchange it for a Democratic one at the polling place on Election Day

Not voting rights have been violated.

We all support expanded voting rights and the repugs are the one blocking that, not the Democratic Party.
This is about:
1) Sanders' disregard for voting rules,
2) Sanders' constant need for an outrage a day,
3) Sanders' setting up the meme that the 'system is rigged' when he loses, and
4) Sanders' attempting to delegitimize Hillary's nomination.

I think the notion of Bernie bringing millions of new people to the party is a crock. They couldn't even be bothered to vote down ticket for a very important judgeship in Wisconsin.

there was plenty of time to see what applied to each state, failure to do the necessary is on the person who finds themselves needing to file a law suit about their failure.

who accidentally registered with the Independent Party thinking that it meant independent, i.e. no party affiliation.

They're inadvertent members of a right wing organization, and they won't be able to vote on June 7.

locally in my Orange County area a few weeks ago talking about registering as many students on campuses as they could for Bernie. The way the interview was going, this didn't surprise that they tried this stunt. They are just trying to hide behind the "Establishment" by saying the ballot was confusing, but the real goal was to register as many young students as possible past the deadline.
