Related: About this forumBernie Sanders supporters launch death threats at local bar
Sanders supporters have called in so many threats that the restaurant unplugged their phones. The restaurant has also been attacked on their Facebook and have had death threats sent to employees.
They had Google to temporarily list the business as "permanently closed".
But there's one big problem. Roberta Lange doesn't own a restaurant.
The Porchlight is owned by Kevin Gallagher, Lange is the Operations Manager.
The Porchlight is open and tells us they have no plans on firing Lange.

(51,554 posts)You may or may not understand that this is a protected group for Hillary SUPPORTERS. Also, DU does not sanction conspiracy theories. It has already been shown that these calls were made by Sanders supporters. If you have any evidence that some of them are Trump supporters, I suggest you call the Las Vegas police or the FBI, both of which are on the case.

(660 posts)But, I know nothing about protected groups. I did get a message that I have been blocked from posting on Bernie Sanders threads, but there was no deeper explanation about why. I think that all of my posts have been very moderate and I found the note a little strange, especially given the fact that it appeared about the same time that Bernie was complaining that no one would debate him in California.
Anyway, I guess what you're saying is that there are certain threads on which I should be very careful about what I say. I respect that and assume that there exists a good reason for the rule. For that reason, I won't say anything further to support the post that prompted yours. I really do want to try to observe everybody's expectations.
For what it's worth, I have always been a supporter of Hillary's candidacy. I am hoping that soon everyone at this site will be enthusiastically "with her."
Thanks for the heads up, SunSeeker. I will make an effort to educate myself so as not to be a problem to anyone.

(660 posts)There are several threads just in this group which feature reporters who talked to these supporters. One was by rolling stones magazine, I suggest you look up these articles or threads.

(90,683 posts)... by making it plain that anyone behaving in this fashion online or off was no friend of him and his campaign. That he will not do -- he does not acknowledge Bernie Bros and their damage and he simply excuses the rest as coming from "passion."
I have lost all respect for him. He's just an angry old man who shouts at everybody who doesn't agree with him and his one-size-fits-all message.

Death threats will get your candidate elected? I don't think so. Bullies! Violence! Mayhem!

(17,108 posts)I read this many times, right here on DU.
My initial enthusiastic support for Bernie has waned dimmer and dimmer, and I'm basing my choice on the behavior of his supporters.
Does this mean I should lose my right to vote?

(47,144 posts)the way they have to distort reality to brainwash people then I'm with you. Many of the lefties supporting Sanders will go to any extreme to win an election when it comes to truthiness. In that regard they are no better than the right wingers. If Clinton saw Sanders as a more serious threat in advance, they would have been better prepared to deal with him.
