AP: Clinton Picks Up 12 More Superdelegates. Just 78 Delegates Clinches the Nomination.

According to the Associated Press, 78 more delegates and Hillary Clinton clinches the Democratic nomination. Historic! She will be the first woman ever nominated by a major political party in US history.

She also continues to pick up much more support from superdelegates, the party leaders who can back any candidate of their choice, dampening Sanders' chances further even as he insists he can win them over later this summer. In the last week, Clinton picked up 12 new superdelegate endorsements while Sanders netted two, according to an Associated Press survey.

When including superdelegates, Clinton's lead grows to 2,305, or 97 percent of the 2,383 delegates needed to win the nomination.

It’s possible even more superdelegates will declare their support before June 7th, placing her closer to clinching the nomination and all the news organizations and networks will call the race on June 7th, declaring Hillary the nominee of our party.

Hillary will have more than enough of the required pledged delegates, 2026 and more than enough superdelegates to put her over 2,383. Any talk of superdelegate strategies over turning
the will of the voters will be put to rest that day.

Only 78 short now, and closing IN on the Dem nomination sooner rather than later.

from the SD's. She is 248 pledged delegates away from one half of the pledged delegates, anything over this number insures Sanders will not make the pledged delegate count.

and unprincipled they are. That's the only way it will sink in. He could also pull a Trump and comment on how homely their spouses are. That'll get em to switch.

have to cast their vote, which happens at the convention in July, to be truly counted...this pledging by the non-pledged status of the Superdelegates seem more like a poll to me.

change horses in mid-stream from the obvious front runner to the loser at convention. The party has a very long memory.

They can change anytime until it is cast.

Unless, there is a motion to make it unanimous and majority supports it each state delegation will provide their votes.
