A little over eight years ago, Naderite dead-enders were still refusing to admit that they had a hand in turning the keys to America over to undead thing Dick Cheney and his protege George W. Bush in 2000. After threatening to go third party once again because that turned out so awesome, I wrote this under Your Mumia sweatshirt wont get you into heaven anymore:
Every year in Happy Gumdrop Fairy-Tale Land all of the sprites and elves and woodland creatures gather together to pick the Rainbow Sunshine Queen. Everyone is there: the Lollipop Guild, the Star-Twinkle Toddlers, the Sparkly Unicorns, the Cookie Baking Apple-cheeked Grandmothers, the Fluffy Bunny Bund, the Rumbly-Tumbly Pupperoos, the Snowflake Princesses, the Baby Duckies All-In-A-Row, the Laughing Babies and the Dykes on Bikes. They have a great big picnic with cupcakes and gumdrops and pudding pops, stopping only to cast their votes by throwing Magic Wishing Rocks into the Well of Laughter, Comity and Good Intentions. Afterward they spend the rest of the night dancing and singing and waving glow sticks until dawn when they tumble sleepy-eyed into beds made of the purest and whitest goose down where they dream of angels and clouds of spun sugar.
You dont live there.
Grow the fuck up.
Well, were right back where we started again, arent we?
Yes we are.
This time a much more polite Robert Reich is attempting to make the same point. Last week Reich told fellow Bernie Sanders supporters that they should continue to fight like hell for their candidate to become the Democratic presidential nominee but, should he come up short, they should back Hillary Clinton.
It wasnt received particularly well.

(32,342 posts)I had to unlike his facebook page because he was throwing anti-Hillary red meat to his audience and their vile comments about her were just coming in torrents. Hard to put the genie back in the bottle there, sir.

(32,342 posts)My faith in him in that area was also crushed with a tv spot he did up against Barney Frank, who mopped the floor with him. http://www.msnbc.com/all-in/watch/can-sanders-plan-to-break-up-the-banks-work-660514883919
I like his message about income inequality, but it seems on many other subjects he must be taken with a grain of salt.

(30,058 posts)Weaver is still pushing Sanders can win, Reich should have knocked Sanders agenda down when Sanders first put it out, Reich had to know it was not doable.

And trying to get the supporters to "undrink" the kool-aid? Good luck with that. Why did he help distribute it in the first place?

Anybody but hillary, and if i hear one more person begging me to vote for her, i just might consider trump with an democratic congress
Just wave that Magic Wand and blow Fairy Dust and you'll get yourself a "democratic congress." Unbelievable.
