knew about any possible problems with her email while she was SOS? From everything I've read, it seems that they sent emails to her office, but not directly to her. And even those were mostly just suggestions (except the requirement to keep hard copies of emails, which apparently no one in the State Department did). I guess what I am trying to find (and I've looked!) is if there is any semblance of a smoking gun. It just seems that as SOS, she would have been concerning herself with much more important issues, and letting her IT or other administrative people handle such relatively trivial things.
The best read I've found on this is here:

(14,531 posts)is the dept that is responsible for the SoS dept.'s tech needs etc. IRM claims they did not know she was using her own server. Despite sending email to her domain, providing tech support and discussing alternative solutions when her server was down. It is well known that upper level employees used their own devices because the ones the IRM supplies are not reliable and old.
Using private e-mail has been done by practically everyone since Powell. The internet system is unreliable. IRM knows this. In Hillary's case, they tried for weeks to get her a stable connection. She finally started using her own server. Which funny enough is the only reason her emails could be retrieved. She believed that all the email she sent to government employees would automatically be saved. Many employees believe this.
The problem is, the program they have to run to save emails does not work properly and not user friendly. Sometimes Emails are not getting properly saved. There is a whole slew of emails that they can not access because they have been saved on an obsolete system and/or the files have been corrupted. Hillary using her own server is the reason they have more of her emails. The State Dept had some of her emails that she sent, not all, due to the problems I stated above.
A big stink is being made of her not printing them out as backup. To me that is a nonissue. Even though paper backup is recommended, digital backup is acceptable. Paper back up has its own set of problems. Due to budget cuts, the paper backups are not getting filed. There are about 3,000 boxes of printed emails waiting to be filed. If there is a FOI request someone has to go through those boxes to find what is needed.
As far as not turning in her emails when she left, neither did Powell. He admitted to deleting his and using gmail. Those emails have been lost forever. Clintons emails were retrievable because they were on her server. Rice claims she never used email.
