I don't want excitement from my president. I want steadiness, intelligence, common sense, and experience.

she's still getting more votes than either of them.

Like our candidate, we just want to get the job done and not waste a lot of time being histrionic about it.

Have you noticed that everything today is aimed at the "target demographic," the 18-29 year olds? They're the reason TV shows make it or break it, idevices come in and go out, and every brick and mortar biz wants them to come in and spend money. For the first time in many decades, though, that demographic is not developing any sort of brand loyalty, and businesses are learning that the hard way. You are so right. They don't vote in numbers one would think they would.

There may be hope for them, though. I read this morining on SFist that they're paying $700 each for a 4-day camping retreat where no electronic devices are allowed. They're going there, some of them multiple times, to learn how to relate to people in person. I kid you not.

Especially if they are hooked to their cell phone. Picture them walking to the poll to vote but they walk right by because they can't get their nose out of their phone.

I want my president to be calm, cool, intelligent, thoughtful, pragmatic, and experienced. That excites me when choosing the next leader of the free world!

namely that DU is completely out-of-whack with the real world - turns out to have some factual basis.

bloviating does not a good president make. It might work in South and Central America where people are awed by charismatic but horribly faulty leader-wannabes, but not in a country that's supposed to be the leader of the world; the country that's still seen as the shining beacon of hope on the hill.

We'll leave the hooligan-esque riots and angry protests to the not-so-mature.
