(37,449 posts)its time its done if you want to vote in the primary you register for the party and candidate. If you don't then wait & see if it pans out to the general election. Primary's are about party caucuses lord knows.
The results prove themselves.

(2,117 posts)our primaries like they did in West Virginia? No thanks. The DNC is a private party. Don't like it? Either join or lose your say.

(16,104 posts)is the notion that those "400 super delegates" can't switch to Bernie anytime in the last year?
After he entered the race? After he introduced himself? After he campaigned? After they got to know him? After the primary voting?
And now, somehow it's "541 super delegates" who could switch?
Well, I guess my questions are answered!

(2,897 posts)It's dumb that a candidate who struggles to win Democrats and can only seem to mostly win caucus is still in the race. All contest should be primaries, most should be closed, some can be open. Democrats should pick the democratic nominee. If you don't want to a check a box, don't feel obligated to the perks of being a party member. I don't expect to pick the republican nominee, the green nominee, or the libertarian nominee.

(12,448 posts)He wants everyone to have a say in who will be the Democratic nominee. Independents, Republicans, whatever. It's not like you can't switch parties for a primary. Of course, you have to do a little research on the election rules and deadlines for your state, and then FOLLOW them. If that's too much trouble, then no, you can't vote in a Democratic primary. Hint: there's this handy-dandy thing called "Google" on the "Internet" that might help with the research.

(6,537 posts)A primary is a contest for each party to choose their candidate for nomination. Why should any non-party person have a seat at the table for that? Why should they be allowed to choose the candidate of a party they refuse to join?
The General Election is when anyone can vote for any of the nominees.
How hard is that to understand?
