Framing up Donald Trump. Dems are doing a good job. Here is how you can help.

Hillary and other Dems are actually doing a good job "framing" Trump. The key is to stay focused, REPETITIVE, consistent, CLEAR, SHORT, COMPELLING, and POWERFUL.

Every campaign must have a positive message and a negative message. These are best communicated through message framing, the art of using language to create visual and emotional responses effectively.

We live in an era where short "sound bite" type messaging is very necessary. Note how Trump continually says "Crooked Hillary." He does this reinforce the frame of "untrustworthiness." He is trying to pump up her negatives. It also produces a visual image, someone whose ethics are literally "crooked" rather than "straight."

Dems have been slamming Donald Duck very hard, and pretty consistently. You have Hillary, Reid, Warren and others. If you listen to Hillary, her frames of FrankenTrump have been good. She just needs to stick with them. They are that he is fundamentally "dangerous" and "unqualified." "Dangerous" is especially good, and she uses "loose cannon" to reinforce that frame. Americans don't want a "dangerous" President. Warren has used "selfish moneygrubber." That is a good one too. It hits him on the economic issues, showing he is no friend of working people. "Con artist" is another good one. There is so much to use to frame Trump it is hard to know where to begin or end. So, what do you call Trump in response to "Crooked Hillary."

It has to be SHORT and POWERFUL. It needs to quickly and effectively FRAME him up, strongly reinforcing a key negative.

I like "Dangerous Donald." Other good ones are "Con Man Don" "FrankenTrump" which also reinforces that he is a "Dangerous Monster" "Ridiculous Donald" "DONALD DUCK" (a ridiculous cartoon) or "Daffy Donald" or just "Crazy Donny".

When I talk to ANYONE (Republicans or otherwise) I hold nothing back with Trump. I take the gloves off and SLAM him HARD. I say to Republicans, "Sorry, but this guy DONALD DUCK is an unqualified ridiculous nutcase who belongs in a nut house, not the White House. He's a disgusting con artist pathological liar who belongs in a straight jacket. Trump is a joke." Then I just let them sit and steam.

Your thoughts?

Hillary has had her agenda out for everyone to see. She can talk about issues but Trump can't. Nothing just nothing but the Republicans will still vote for him.

It is a local nasty term for anyone who is a con man, lies. etc. People know what I mean when I use that term.

Words like "fascist", "authoritarian", racist obviously, in addition to that. You want to delegitimize him as a serious candidate, BUT you also want to emphasize the danger to the Republic he presents.

we just refer to him as "asshole" or "the asshole". On family member refused to work at his rally in their city the other day and the employer was respectful of the decision.
