"The Inspector General just came out with a report, it was not a good report for Secretary Clinton. That is something that the American people, Democrats and delegates are going to have to take a hard look at," he said. "But for me right now, I continue to focus on how we can rebuild a disappearing middle class, deal with poverty, guarantee health care to all of our people as a right."
Back in the fall, at the first Democratic debate, Sanders famously said he was "sick and tired of hearing about [her] damn emails," and it's not an issue the Vermont senator has used against Clinton on the campaign trail.

(8,964 posts)We have heard Powell's admission on this. How about the others? 9/11 proceeded according to plan because the highest ranking officials in the GWB administration failed to coordinate and share incoming intelligence reports with appropriate agencies. Of course, we got Homeland Security and the so-called Patriot Act after the fact. It would be interesting to determine if a protracted dredging operation on the level of Hillary's emails was to turn up anything pointing to gross negligence on the part of those who could be held accountable for letting the county down in such egregious fashion???

...or something else like that.
But BS has joined the pukes in just pretending that Clinton is either incompetent or evil. Never thought I would see something like this. Truly heavy sigh.

(8,964 posts)Politics as usual. Bernie was at his best sticking to issues that matter. But whenever blood is in the water, sharks will invariably embark on a feeding frenzy.

I have come to loathe Bernie so much these days and cannot wait to see him consigned to the ash heap of history.
It's interesting that he's chosen this moment to start highlighting her email controversy, when his own investigations are starting to come to light (Burlington College, FEC violations).

(50,888 posts)Probably not much. If he spent more time reading instead of wanting to take up the air he might learn something. Everything that Sanders has done has been to the detriment of the Democratic Party.

(41,976 posts)Oh wait, It has! Months and months of it! Thousands of emails released! Exposure that the State department was stuck in electronic 1998! Emails Retroactivly classified! She held back 15 emails dammit. Clearly a nerfrious plotter to rule the world through her blackberry.
Listening to Sanders and his "American people" phrase is like crewing on tinfoil with a mouth full of fillings.

(2,074 posts)He can no longer win, and he damn well knows it. We're now at a stage in the primary where he should have been supporting her, acting as a surrogate for her, not playing the Republicans' game by aiding the attacks on her.
Ugh.
