Refusal in Bernie Sandersland to accept reality is really unreal (From The Seattle Times)In the bizarre world of some Bernie Sanders supporters, our meaningless presidential primary was yet more evidence that Hillary Clinton is stealing the election. The rift in the Democratic Party might be even bigger than the GOP’s before this strange campaign is done.
'
Last Tuesday, the state reported the results of our mail-in primary. Donald Trump won on the Republican side. Somewhat surprisingly, Hillary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders for the Democrats. That’s where the problems began. To some Sanders supporters, who believe everything from the newspaper to the vote-counting machines are against them, this result was not just surprising. It was literally unbelievable. “She hasn’t won anything — you mean STOLE the primary,” one Sandersnista wrote on the Seattle for Bernie Sanders Facebook page “It’s not about who votes, it’s about who counts them,” asserted another. “I don’t know a single person who voted for this woman. NOT ONE!” wrote a third. “I have posts and posts of people showing their ballots for Bernie. I don’t trust it, I absolutely don’t trust anything anymore.” Here goes some MSM spin: I asked the state Elections Department to check out the reported ballot problems. Stuart Holmes, an Election Systems Supervisor, said the state hasn’t had a single complaint.'
So I sent him the names of every local Sanders voter I could find who said on Facebook that their ballots weren’t counted. He entered them in the database and found that all their ballots were counted (except for one, who didn’t appear to exist — it might have been a fake Facebook name). 1. Well, let's be honest: Sanders tells them in every stump speech and every radio
and TV appearance that the process is rigged. He challenges the vote count at every turn in states where he loses (have any of those counts been reversed in his favor?). He says he knew the rules going in, but he calls closed primaries undemocratic. And on it goes.
His followers are simply taking their lead from the candidate himself. This is the DU member formerly known as stopbush.

6. Yes! It does start from the top.
Howard Dean was on TV this morning, being asked about Bernie Sanders. Even Howard mentioned that Bernie needs to stop being so hostile to the party. I was a little surprised to hear it from him, since he usually seems so optimistic that Bernie will do his part to unify the party.
I've heard that BS always says the right things behind closed doors to party leaders, but when he gets in front of his large rowdy crowds he starts going on the attack again. Maybe the crowds go to his head? |

7. I wonder
what made these voters think their ballots weren't counted?
It's so funny to me when people claim their anecdotal evidence as if it's a clinical study. "I don't know a single person who voted for Hillary Clinton, therefore no one really voted for Hillary Clinton!" ![]() |

12. That sounds like something from the Bernie Math video
"California has 435 delegates. Everyone I know personally is voting for Bernie. Therefore, Bernie will receive all 435 delegates."

5. Just go check out the Sanders group on DU to verify this...
they are still actively talking about how he can win. Amazing.

10. Yeah, I imagine it would seem really unreal to those who had no clue this would
happen. To those of us who have had his number for awhile now.. it seems par for his fantasyland course.
This was written March 27th.. wonder what he thinks of it now? Thank you, ism~ |

11. 'Stuart Holmes, an Election Systems Supervisor, said the state hasn’t had a single complaint.'
They didn't complain except to each other? Maybe because no rational being would believe them.
