It's 8:00 at night for me...had a couple of beers, my daughter made us

a gorgeous dinner...and I was thinking...Bernie, what's going on with him. It came to me, The Big Chill. Bernie is trying to live out his youth, and all he needs is the awesome soundtrack. The only thing, in the Bill Chill, they were a bunch of friends hanging out because a friend died...Bernie is doing the Big Chill, and way too many lives are on the line.

My husband, a Hillary support from the get go. gave me a high five, and said that basically explains Bernie's campaign...

Very astute comparison...40 years after the fact, he's trying to recapture a moment long gone. Surya Gayatri May 2016 #3
Yep, he's facing the end of his career, the twilight of his life; what does he have to show for it? Fla Dem May 2016 #4

It is the same show over and over, venue after venue.

Adoration can be addictive - and misleading. He thinks he has vindication for his political choices in life - combined with being old enough to not have to care about other's opinion anymore anyway!

Wasn't part of "The Big Chill" a recognition of who we have become - and recognizing maybe it wasn't all that good? That we could do better? And Bernie missed that as his campaign went on and they never adapted to the reality - including losing.

Why not go for the big enchilada? Probably won't win, but at least when his final days are upon him, he can say, I tried, I ran for President of the United States.

Oh the hubris!
