Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumI'm thinking that those super PACs for Hillary ought to be producing ads that not only attack Trump
but also educate the voters about reality politics.
The so-called "establishment" needs to be explained honestly...the good the bad the ugly. The good far outweighs the bad and the ugly and voters ought to told.
Sure, Wall Street and vulture bankers are greedy and out for the bottom line. Sure the system is rigged but it has been rigged from the beginning ever since only the landed-gentry were the only one who could vote.
But the "establishment" Democrats are who bought us Social Security, Medicare, voting rights, civil rights, consumer protection laws, support for education, Pell grants, student national defense loans, the VA and unemployment insurance and payments. Are these systems perfect? NO!! But they are in many cases what stands between life and death, homelessness, sickness, and help for millions of citizens and others in this country. We need to work to change what is bad and ugly and that won't happen with a revolution. It will only happen with hard work, cooperation, and a unified government working for the people. Obama never had that luxury and that is too bad. But people need to stop playing the blame game and the demon game that only Trump and Bernie seem to be playing right now. That is the big difference and that is what people need to know!!

So in regards to the Trump Sheeple lock stepping and goose stepping. . . .
'Explanations' won't work for with them.
Fear placed in sound bites will work.
I liked SOS Clintons Kremlin comment yesterday. That would work.
It should have Russian subtitles in the ad. Now THAT is education!

(1,059 posts)though, I think the Sanders people (the real ones who are left wing undefined, not the right wing trolls) are going to be a theme in the coming years. Those that offer nothing but apocalyptic complaints with one hand and the pyramid-scheme-level, miracle cures for them with the other. I really don't want to see the Democratic party done over as the Republicans were by the Tea Party. If people have good faith suggestions and campaigns for changing the party, sure! I mean, it's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. However, if they're just looking for another vehicle for their negative bullshit....and one of those that can be made to realize how unconstructive they're being, well, that would be good.

(33,268 posts)I don't think the Sanders movement is going to impact my state or local elections between now and 2020.
Beginning November 9th - I'm Phil Murphy all the way (he's running for Governor in NJ). I'll deal with changing the party after we get Christie the hell out of NJ. My local borough needs a wine/beer license available in order to grow our Main Street and that is not on the Sanders' supporters radar. I've actually had someone respond back to me (Not a resident who doesn't realize how lame we are as a town after 6 PM on a Friday or Saturday) that they would prefer 'weed'.
Yeah - that's gonna go over in my town. *smdh* I'll leave that long pole for the Sanders supporters - I want property tax relief NOW. I get that via a hopping Main Street.
Not a tangent - but my response probably shows why I never got the guy. I'm about real short term solutions with a long range POSITIVE impact. It also shows why indeed all politics is local.
I don't do vague concepts and the reality is -
The Hutu Americans are alive, they are real - and they pose a dangerous threat to those of us who are not white male anglo saxon straight protestants.

(30,058 posts)campaign trail with Hillary and for Hillary, especially after she is the presumptive nominee. One of the super delegates who should show up is Bernie Sanders.

(1,473 posts)Plus it captured my attention and brought me out of the sewer that is GDP -but for some reason I keep visiting... I have to stop, its a waste of time but its both frustrating and therapeutically gives me a laugh at the same time...twisted as that might be.
This though I think is really important.
"the so-called "establishment" needs to be explained honestly...the good the bad the ugly. The good far outweighs the bad and the ugly and voters ought to"
YES!
The right wing and now the far left are vying for most anti-government rant. Both groups can only see the bad yet benefit from the good every day of their lives.
Exactly what do these people plan on replacing "the establishment" with? The right wants corporate America to rule.
But Bernie's camp?
