Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumThis is why I LOVE Hillary
A blog from Daily Kos, with an interesting poll at the end.....
There is a reason why Republicans hate Hillary Clinton. She is an uppity woman who doesn't "know her place." She refuses to back down and SHE ALWAYS FIGHTS BACK! Somehow she finds a way to survive despite the unending shit they throw at her. This is absolutely maddening to the male dominated right wing who see women as nothing more than subservient objects or incubators for fertilized eggs. "Why won't she go away already?" is an oft recycled sentiment on the right.
Fighting back is exactly what Hillary did at the recent Iowa Democratic Wing Ding -- a meeting of Democratic party activists in Clear Lake, Iowa.
Proceed with caution, Hillary Clinton bludgeons Republicans over the fold...

(28 posts)this is in no way an exceptional characteristic. Who would vote for someone that isn't a fighter? Seems odd.

(38,402 posts)is a "safe haven" for Hillary supporters. Each of the other Dem Presidential candidates also has a "safe" group for supporters.

(9,148 posts)Yet here she is again.
What do we need to say to get the point across?
Don't come in the Hillary Group to bash our candidate.
If you don't like what's said here you can easily just hit the BLOCK GROUP function key to avoid posting hrre by mistake.
Read the rules on Safe Haven Groups please.
Jennifer Kay
(28 posts)Well I do support her, although, i align with Bernie's policy positions more. I didn't know that opinions and/or constructive criticism isn't allowed. Again, odd. But, if what you would like to do is preach to the choir--then go for it. Just seems a little puerile.

(9,148 posts)This is not a place to post antangonizeing statements.
GD-P is for that.
Please read the rules.
Or try the BLOCK GROUP Feature if its a problem staying out of such protected groups.
thanks & enjoy your day

(28 posts)My statement is an opinion, and it's not negative nor condensing so, I really do not understand your rude comments towards me. Also, link me to the rules--because I cannot find anything in regards to safe haven guidelines or rules.
Stating an opinion should never be met with banning or blocking. Most people would respond to constructive criticism with a rebuttal reinforcing their opinion; not to say "block the group". It is insanely disrespectful to someone that actually does support her, and just because she isn't my first choice doesn't mean I am not entitled to state opinions, especially because she is second choice.

(28 posts)I gave an opinion of a post in relation to Hillary--which is not in opposition to yours. However, my view is that people should understand every politician is a fighter and there is an unwritten rule of politicians to fight on behalf of their beliefs. So I stated what I thought--and that we should focus on current issues in which she is promoting and the fight ahead and how best to promote them. Not to just say oh yeah, she's a fighter--we all know she is, let's get the ideas out there for ppl to see and read for themselves since the news is all too focused on her emails.

I don't believe you support Hillary. I think you're a disruptor and you're doing it poorly.

(9,148 posts)haven't heard a word as to how he intends to walk the walk when it comes to writing those policies so he could actually get them through congress.
I hear him say the same positions each DEM candidate repeats, but have yet to hear him do more than pander to the crowd.
Does he even have a plan like HRC or OMalley has described?
Nope.
He has positions similar to all the others but as far as the policy part goes, he's not saying how he's going to lead congress to enact them. What policy?
Jennifer Kay
(28 posts)also, you you didn't specify--so my question back to you is this:
Are you asking for specific policies in regards to the writing and submission of a bill?
Or
Are you asking how would he get them passed in congress in regards to working with a republican controlled congress?
misterhighwasted
(9,148 posts)I laid out my concerns quite clearly as to burnies policies.
This is not the place to pit burnie against HRC & approach it's members with childish name calling.
Re Read the rules.
Jennifer Kay
(28 posts)well, I asked for follow-up questions that clearly, you have ignored. Also, YOU brought up Bernie pitting him against her--I did NOT do that at all. Please re-read the posts.
The rules--I did go and read them as I said I would.
I just want make sure, are these the rules you have been referring to?
Groups:
Groups can be created by either the DU Administrators, or by regular DU members.
Groups sometimes serve as safe havens for members who share similar viewpoints or interests.
Members may subscribe to groups, and have them listed on their "My Subscriptions" page.
Members may be blocked from a group by its hosts, or by the DU Administrators if no hosts are assigned.
Blocked members may not post in a group or subscribe to that group -- but they are able to alert abuse in that group. Only members who have posted in a particular group may be blocked from that group.
I still don't see how I am breaking the rules. Please LMK.

(22,871 posts)You just signed up and posted no where else but The Hillary Clinton group. You been nothing but insulting, called the group "puerile", called a member "caddy",it take it you mean catty, admitted she's not your first choice (which means this isn't a forum for you) and are arguing that you are not breaking the rules even after being told what our group does and does not accept. This is our statement of purpose: Discuss the life, career, and accomplishments of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Supporters only. If you aren't capable of being in here without antagonizing members then you will be blocked.

(9,148 posts)First Post. Now you're either baiting me, intentionally disrupting this great & positive Post in the HRC Goup or you didn't read nor understand the reason & rules for the Safe Haven Groups.

(22,871 posts)You've already admitted that Clinton isn't your first choice and that you prefer Sanders. Here's his group:

If you want to argue with Clinton supporters,do so in GD/P,but it won't be tolerated here.

(28 posts)I didn't insult members, I said the post came off as caddy and immature. Again, please re-read the posts b/c you are misquoting and misrepresenting my writing.

(41,917 posts)And as ridiculous as its sounds, there are people who actually take the time to troll this group, as well as other protected groups. Not to mention DU itself. Not sure what they get out of it, but there you are. So the members and hosts are very careful.
While I'm I'm open to criticism constructive or no, of my chosen candidate, you can find that in every big forum here. This isn't the place we do it, except in the broadest sense. That's why it's protected.

(67,782 posts).....supporters of specific candidates and/or ideologies.
I know it's easy to overlook what forum one is responding in (I did it a number of times early on). This is the Hillary Clinton Group, where people who support her and agree with her policies post.
If you're going to be talking about Bernie Sanders here, you're going to find people in this Group not very happy.
Hope this helps.

(28 posts)i did not. Please stop blaming me for what another member brought up and attacked me with. Srsly.

They'll never destroy Hillary Clinton because they keep using the same playbook believing one day it will magically work for them.
The GOP just isn't the most creative bunch are they.
