Boy was I totally mistaken. He is continuing beyond D.C.

He is currently, 415 pledged delegates behind Hillary Clinton. There are still 36 pledged delegates outstanding in California. Sanders has 1,788 pledged delegates which is 238 short of the majority for pledged delegates. And he is 548 total delegates short of the majority. There is something wrong with Sanders to think he can get enough superdelegates to switch.

30. & the way he talked about the "message" and the work they've done rather than talk of winning

led me to think he would finally say they were taking it to the convention to complete the work they've done and to continue to influence the platform, etc... instead of his usual, "we're gonna win this thing," and this would have given him the perfect opening to acknowledge Hillary's historic moment in some convoluted way without totally saying it's over. I can't even imagine the size of the ego it took to be so ungracious and so selfish as to totally ignore such an historic time in history.

And I kept waiting for him to pack it in as well. Especially after the Politico piece came out and it was mentioned that his audience members were even saying that they too thought he should perhaps call it quits (after being told that Obama had called Hillary & there was an upcoming meeting at the White House scheduled with Sanders on Thursday at Sander's request). But nooooooooo.....ugh

In light of the Politico article, it makes a twisted sort of sense. He thinks she's going to be taken out of the race somehow, and he's going to swoop in and save the day.
