What a day!

I remember the Bush years--when good electeds were out in the political wilderness

Getting traction for anything was like climbing Everest, and everyone was on the defensive constantly. I started here in those years. It was damn frustrating.

Inch by inch we've fought to clear out space, and strong voices are out in force, ready to fight, ready to win, and we have an opportunity to push even further for solid reform and policy.

Today is the culmination of years of tough work by people who didn't give up, and there is a terrific feeling going into this fight.

I guess I just don't see any reasons to be sad and gloomy and don't understand people who can't see positive space in the coming months.

(I had another argument with some gloomies on social media and just needed to get this off my chest.)
