2. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but after the disappointment of 2008, I was afraid to get my

hopes up. Everything online was " Bernie, Bernie, Bernie", but Hillary kept winning. I think that, in the end, she will get a lot of votes from Republicans a unless they get a chance to dump trump. I fully expect her to get some votes from Republican women, even if they don't talk about it.

Who want to suppress the will of the people and who've threatened and harassed the supporters of the first viable female candidate for president, especially since she's the most sane and qualified of the bunch. God forbid they riot the DNC.

This is the reason I returned to DU! I was part of DU after it started long time ago, but gave up when I started living abroad to avoid Dubya. I missed the drama happening around the 2008 primaries/elections because I was and voted from abroad. When am overseas I get into my host country's politics and detach from USA. It was great at the time because I hated Dubya!

This time around, back in the USA, I noticed Bernie people overtaking the internets and doing everything possible to harass and abuse HRC supporters. Could not believe how thoroughly rampant this was. Thought this must be my wrong impression. But not, it was f*cking real!

...and it describes much of my on-line political life these past months. I was lucky enough to have a oasis to talk and discuss the issues with people who felt as I did. We have all grown closer together and are more determined than ever to see Hillary reach the White House....and we have all made some really great friendships grow and bloom.

8. I was stunned reading this

It made sense to me that there were many Latinos and African Americans supporting her who were underneath the social media radar, so to speak, which made the huge crowds at his rallies appear to overstate his popularity.

(But I've seen this before: I watched the rally at the Texas Capitol for women's reproductive rights (in protest of the bill which passed in the wee hours that shut down clinics all over the state, mandated the 20 week deadline, etc.) and thought Wendy Davis was going to be elected governor. Then I watched in absolute horror as women in greater numbers turned out for Greg Abbott. Moral: rallies don't mean shit in the long run.)

So IMHO this should translate as women getting Clinton elected in somewhat overwhelming numbers -- and I thought this before the revealing of this 'underground' support network. But this is an underscore.

10. Bernie Followers don't even know we exist. They think we are a bunch of paid operatives!

I can only imagine that is why they could not believe it when Bernie kept losing. Many caucuses were lost because Hillary supporters were intimidated by the swarming at the polls. Hillary supporters have been bullied and threatened and it continues.
Would you walk out on the streets of Philly with a Hillary tee-shirt during the convention? I would, but only if the was a police presence.

11. There is more than one right way...

President Obama stunned the world with huge crowds both here and in Europe in 2008. In 2016 Sec. Clinton proved there was more than one way to win a Primary (and general election?) by keeping things intentionally smaller, quieter, and more intimate.

In the end all that Sanders hoopla amounted to nothing but noise and expenses. Even worse, "Big Stage Bernie" demonstrated a real lack when it came to kitchen table politics. Truthfully, I think he struggled with the human touch - something that motivated Hillarie's supporters who showed quiet strength and resolve.
