First on CNN: Clinton campaign takes control of DNC

By Jeff Zeleny, Senior Washington Correspondent
Updated 10:43 AM ET, Thu June 16, 2016

(CNN)Hillary Clinton's campaign is taking the reins of the Democratic National Committee, installing a new top official on Thursday to oversee the party's day-to-day operations through the general election.

Brandon Davis, national political director for the Service Employees International Union, will become the general election chief of staff for the Democratic Party. His selection formalizes the coordination of the Clinton campaign and the committee, a stark contrast to Donald Trump who is currently at odds with his party.

Robby Mook, the Clinton campaign manger, arrived Thursday morning at Democratic headquarters on Capitol Hill to introduce Davis to the party's staff.

selections. They can't complain about Labor being excluded when Labor's representative is running the whole shebang.

I'm starting to believe that Hillary learned some of that 3-dimensional chess from Obama while she was working for him.

The country is with us , the media is with us and we already have Donald Trump twisting in the wind! The convention is going to be great! We may have some Bernie drama but we need that to get plenty of media coverage.

I can't wait to see what Trump comes up with for his big party!
