I agree. I also don't have a problem with not knowing until she announces. LiberalFighter Jun 2016 #9

she may want to know who she will face and one never knows if drumpf will make it to the nom or not? If it were me, I'd wait to see if drumpf really gets the nomination.

I believe that Trump WILL get the nomination, however - not so much because people actually support him, much less like him, but more because they will be afraid NOT to support him. Nominating someone else, a la the Dem Convention in 1968, will likely result in chaos, anger and ultimately voter apathy. Trump supporters are not known for their good behavior anywhere and I also wouldn't bet against major violence from some, both inside and outside the Convention.

Trump really knows how to carry a grudge. Assuming he still actually has deep pockets, he could finance an Independent run if he thought he could win in his own mind. The one thing about him that is superhuman is his trust/belief in himslf.

In 2008, Obama didn't announce Biden as his VP pick until August 23, two days before the DNC (August 25-28) and more than two months after the last primaries (June 3).

Caribou Barbie at the convention. I think to try and limit PBO's poll numbers.

Barbie galvanized any fence-sitters. That is about the only thing that is a silver lining w/r/t McCain's Abominable Pick.

or something like that? Right now HRC's opponents seem to be continuing their path of incompetence and the media are (surprisingly) reporting some of it. So it's good for her to keep this under wraps for now and let the news cycles play out.
