Sanders delegates fault Bernie for DNC chaos

A handful of Bernie Sanders’ delegates are placing part of the blame for Monday night’s revolt on the Vermont senator, saying his campaign did not properly communicate with the legions of politically inexperienced delegates who went into the convention with unrealistic expectations.

The first night of the Democratic National Convention was a raucous scene in which boos overwhelmed speakers at seemingly every mention of Hillary Clinton’s name, creating the image of a party in chaos.

The discord was partially fueled by the leak of a trove of emails showing that the Democratic National Committee actively tried to undermine Sanders during the primary — evidence that vindicated seething Sanders supporters convinced the system was rigged against them.

But it was also the result of some dumbfounded delegates who went into the convention thinking Clinton didn’t have the nomination sewn up, and that there was still a path for Sanders.

all the way to the convention"? Many heard that as a dogwhistle for the kind of behavior we witnessed. I'm just glad it wasn't worse than it was. Booing John Lewis seems to be a pattern for some of these folks. They did it at OWS, and I have a feeling these were the same type of privileged disruptors.

To us on the outside, it looked silly. On the inside, material was being picked out for the new curtains in the Oval Offfice.

name into nomination as she had been told she and Tulsi would do it together. She didn't say directly but inferred that the DNC had not allowed her to do so. BUT she said that the "senator" meaning Bernie had called her and told her very nicely that she would not be allowed to join Tulsi in putting his name forward for the nomination.
I thought it all sounded so strange. The DNC had given Bernie just about everything he wanted for this convention. Why would they deny him this one last gesture? Was it actually the DNC that kept Nina from doing that or Bernie himself? No answer forthcoming but Nina looked crushed in that interview. Had it been the DNC that did that, I think she would have been very vocal about it.
