DALLAS – Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton will hold her first public campaign event in North Texas on Tuesday.

Clinton will speak for 30 minutes this afternoon inside the gymnasium at Mountain View College at 4849 W. Illinois Avenue. Her campaign calls it a "grassroots organizing event."

Doors open at 12:00 p.m. and the program begins at 1:15 p.m.

Clinton has a dominant lead among Texas Democrats in the March 1 primary, according to a new UT/Texas Tribune poll. Clinton got 61 percent of the vote, while Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has 30 percent.

Last month, Clinton campaigned in San Antonio, where former mayor Julian Castro introduced her to several thousand supporters.

This is Clinton's first public campaign visit to North Texas since a 2008 stop at the Fort Worth Stockyards, according to the Star-Telegram.
