New PPP poll for Thanksgiving ....all the things your dying to know....

When it comes to which Presidential candidate people would actually like to have over for Thanksgiving Dinner Clinton wins out with 24% to 18% for Carson, 17% for Trump, 11% for Sanders, 8% for Cruz, and 6% each for Bush and Rubio. Interestingly even though Trump leads the Republican field when it comes to who people want to be the nominee for President, Carson beats him out on the dinner invitation front, 31% to 24%. Clinton leads Sanders 51/17 among Democrats.

except we'd be feasting on tamales, roasted corn, calabazita, fresh fruit with flan, and pralines.

9. Mmmmmmmm! Tamales and flan! This is a Latino Christmas dinner, isn't it?

Tamales are a favorite at Christmas amongst Hispanics, I've heard. I didn't know they'd have them for Thanksgiving, as well.

I just have them a couple of times a week all year long. Our local El Ranchero restaurant can make a mean tamale. Um, they make a mean everything. Especially their salsa. Love their soft carnitas tacos with their salsa! YUM.

I'm salivating.

Well, it's going to be El Ranchero for this evening's dinner now...

10. Tamales have been traditionally associated with Christmas season,

but have colonized other holidays as well.

My personal philosophy is that there is never a time when tamales aren't appropriate. My watercolor class is having them for our Thanksgiving party/critique tomorrow.

Fortunately, my city has a couple of excellent tamaleras that make them year round, and a vegetarian restaurant sells a delicious version with cheese and spinach. (Sounds odd but tastes divine.)

Especially for me since Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate football.
