Daily Kos: Preview of Politico attacks on Hillary Clinton

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/12/29/1464556/-Politico-previews-how-it-intends-to-help-Republicans-attack-Hillary-Clinton-if-she-s-the-nominee

Politico is at it again, deciding that Hillary Clinton will be "haunted" in the general election, should she get the nomination, by six "choice remarks and positions" she's taken in 2015. Because you know, unlike Clinton, the eventual Republican nominee will have never said anything controversial.
...
But on to the real meat of the story, which posits that the things Clinton has said and positions she's taken will fuel a potential general election campaign against her. Those issues: on ISIS ("We now finally are where we need to be." Note that the Iraqis just had a pivotal victory against ISIS in Ramadi); on Republicans (the enemy she's most proud of, compared to the kinds of things Republicans have been saying about her and her husband for the past 23 years); on the nothingburger email scandal (her joke about wiping her server "like with a cloth or something&quot ; and her support for closing the gun show loophole and an assault weapons ban.
...
Clinton certainly isn't running a perfect primary campaign and wouldn't be perfect in the general, but the idea that anyone in this Republican field could make hay on any of these things is pretty laughable. This Republican field, full of blowhards and pathological liars. Not that Politico won't do its very best to help.

Politico also has a lot of help from some here on DU.

I remember Mika Brezinski crowing daily about the private server until top Republic admitted it was smear. Hillary survived. The Bengazi hearings she triumphed. Trump the Marla Maples man slings slime. She's a winner period.

Over the years I have developed a hatred for her. She is little more than an atta boy sock puppet to Joe.

Only rarely does she break from her Boys Will Be Boys mentality. She'd give Trump a pass before Hillary because she holds her to a higher standard. Mika's own success is based on having to be better to get where she's at. She's a better thinker than joe but she's still playing second chair.

Being one of the boys means encouraging their bad behavior.

My daughter played that game at her last job. She was a recruiter for an IT placement firm. In the end they used her being one of the guys as a way of getting rid of her. The guys told fart jokes and she was accused of displaying an unprofessional manner. My wife warned her but she wouldn't listen.

-about your daughter's trouble. I wish she could make a case out of it since others were doing it. I presume the men kept their jobs?

Your wife was right. The rules are different and not acknowledging that, and adjusting your behavior can end badly.

Our society is no more post-sexist than it is post-racial.

She was one of their top recruiters.

I got word this morning she is getting even. After the new year she is going to work for one of their competitors and she is taking all her clients with her. Her new firm is run by a woman. Just like this country will be come November of 2016.

Thanks for the caring words and Go Hillary!

I try not to ever link to them unless they are the only source for a quote. They've been pushing the "unions hate Hillary" angle every time she gets a major labor endorsement.

The GOP doesn't have a good qualified candidate, doesn't have a good platform , ergo, turn the attention from their weaknesses and attempt to destroy Hillary.
