Discussed online and elsewhere. Instead we are treated to this same tune with Hillary, Obama, etc. are TheEvilOnes©. This game only serves the Koch brothers and their ilk. And "supporters" is right.

More likely they are Segretti types screwing with a possible Democratic nominee, and getting some to fall for it.

I feel sorry for the guy that his campaign has attracted what it has.
At least when the Far Right and Republicans attracted the Tea Party element
and the like, they were asking for it (and the results are, and will continue
to be, deserved in that party).

I feel like so many in their brand of Left is so busy attacking every criticism
from the outside or treason (read "compromise&quot from the inside of their
group that they just don't have the time to build bridges, make friends,
and run a campaign.

...and of course, even if they can get Bernie in office (or "we", since I
would vote for him in the general), they'll be very disappointed when
they find out that running a nation means a mandate to compromise for
300 some million people...not a mandate to dictate from the platform
of your base.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

This post is offensive and over the top and would probably warrant a hide if posted in GDP. But the OP chose to post in the protected Hillary Group, where the offensive "fucking nuts" editorial cannot be challenged. It's an abuse of the protected group status to post disruptive shit.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Jan 3, 2016, 07:55 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I don't agree with the post but its not hide-worthy.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: You have to be kidding! Why alert on this? The only think I can imagine is "alert stalking". The opinion about the video is appropriate for the group, and actually this would be ok in GDP. There's no violation of the TOS - it's an OP about a public petition! In my view, the alerter knows they are invading a protected group and simply trying to get a cheap hide. People who alert without a violation should be restricted from using the jury system. LEAVE IT!
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT

Remember what happened the last couple of times we had someone run as a third party (Ross Perot, Ralph Nader) and even though they did not have a snowballs chance in Hades they had an effect on the outcome of the elections.

Bernie supporters could blow this election: Why refusing to vote for Hillary Clinton will only make everything worse

The political left has been tearing itself up of late with a rousing game of “Who Wants to Be the Most Liberal Liberal Ever To Liberal,” much in the same way it seems to each and every election cycle. The current battle, between supporters of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, would be much more entertaining if the arguments for and against both campaigns weren’t variations on the same tired leftier-than-thou rhetoric and blind loyalty that were worn out even before Ralph Nader threw his rumpled corduroy blazer over his shoulder and slunk off into the humid Florida night.

(edit)

I recall a debate that year about whether true liberals should vote for Nader because, in his formulation, there was not a dime’s worth of difference between the two major-party candidates, Al Gore and George W. Bush. I recall email blasts from at least one acquaintance in a toss-up state trying to interest his friends in states that were safely for Gore in a voting trade of sorts, whereby one of us would cast our vote for Nader; in return, our friend would cast his vote for Gore. The thinking was that this would preserve a Democratic victory in both states while also registering liberal protests at the centrist drift of the party.

(edit)

Now, 15 years later, does anyone want to argue that there was not a dime’s worth of difference between the potential Gore administration and the clusterfuckery that we got with Bush? Because if you do, my family owns some swampland – er, I mean highly prized and valuable real estate in Florida — that we would be happy to sell you.
