(17,865 posts)it has been a cesspool for months and months. The left fringe is worse than the right wingnuts. It should be renamed the Drudge Report with Rush the Pigboy Limbaugh.
I can't wait till Super Tuesday when the Board can be returned to Democrat(ic) control.

(27,814 posts)... that have been posted about Obama on this site, you had to figure that Hillary was next in line for the "democrats" on DU to go after.
Hey, I'm soooo old, I remember when DemocraticUnderground declared itself a Democrtic-supporting site - and actually meant it!

(118,642 posts)It started in the fall. Then got quiet for a month after Hillary nailed the Benghazi hearing. I wonder why 'Bernie supporters' were so civil then. Maybe they did not want to bait Hillary supporters when they had such a great Hillary victory fresh in their minds. By December it was back to the 'gungeon' like mob attacks and tactics any time anyone says something nice about Hillary.
Everyday more and more trolls come in, and from their very firsts post, it's all about destroying Hillary, and it's so obvious. They are accepted by our own long time shit stirrers, and they spend the entire day trashing and bashing. I think the majority of the "Bernie bros" are nothing more than right wing trolls who have swarmed the internet to make sure we don't get a Democrat in the WH. Smells a lot like Karl Rove's work to me!

(9,899 posts)This is a progressive site, if you, and the candidate you support does not draw complete compliance, then maybe you, and they are not as progressive as you think.
Either way I am voting like I always do, with a big "D". I am a liberal/progressive, no compromises, no excuses, no paid Goldman Sachs obligations. What about you, and your candidate?

(6,280 posts)... on reality. If a Clinton supporter went to the Bernie group and posted the same ignorant shit that you did, they too would have been banned from the group. You have a very weak case as justification, and the only one crying a river seems to be you.
Cha
(297,190 posts)I went into the BS group and posted "cry me a fucking river".. I would be blocked in a NY second.
The big difference is I wouldn't do that .. I respect their boundaries. you don't.. and you need to stop "crying a river".

(22,140 posts)Liberal. I am voting for the Democrat, not the Independent who is only a Democrat when it serves HIS interests.
When all you Sanders worshippers realize he is in this race to stroke his massive ego, perhaps we can talk policy ( oh that's right he has none). He has dreams, but no plans on how to achieve them.
His own colleagues don't even like him enough to endorse him.

But until then, Go Bernie!!!
I will support Hillary if she wins the primary. I don't want her winning the primaries only to arrive at the general election as a damaged candidate. But I'm more enthusiastic about Bernie and will support him for as long as he's in the race.

(1,545 posts)They are not the base. The way I define it the base are the folks who show up ALL the time. They show up in primaries for the state legislature. They vote in every off year election. They stand by the party even when the people they elect make mistakes.
That sure as fuck doesn't describe Bernie's supporters.

(2,550 posts)If you said Hillary was having a good hair day, they'd find a way to tear it down. But if Bernie walks down the street, they go nuts.
If you try to post a Hillary political stance, you're met with vitriol, but Bernies ideas that won't pass congress get cheers.
The Bernie fans don't need to tear down Hillary in order to support their candidate.

They hate me so much they lied about me and spread the lies all over here and DI. They send me nasty pms. I'd say more, but they will probably alert on this post in this protected group and try and get it hidden.
It was bad in 2008, but never to this level. The hate, lies and smears are stunning and constant.

(28,270 posts)But it gets brogressively worse everyday.
I'm about done with the bernie underground.
If I wanted to read and post at a democratic party hate site I'd go to free republic and take my hate pure and not through the fake democratic falsehood of the bernie bro legion of foam at the mouth Hillary haters.
These people are on a mission to destroy the democratic party lead by Bernie Sanders. He has hated the party and its members his whole life, as a matter of record, not opinion.
If the bernie bros seize control of the democratic party, Ill be leaving it for sure. i don't vote for fascists of the left or right.

(1,545 posts)Almost as terrifying as the thought of this ill tempered ideologue becoming Commander In Chief is the thought that he will be the head of a political party he hates, and be entitled to name it's leadership.
If Bernie is the nominee, his fanatics will purge the party's leadership all over the country, then when he gets destroyed in November, blame their own victims for the defeat.

madaboutharry
(40,209 posts)Unbearable to read, actually. I don't remember if it was this bad in 2008. Now, it seems that there is a faction of Bernie supporters who are doing their candidate more harm than good. Some of his supporters are ideologues and in truth are no different than the ideologues on the right who are intolerant of compromise. As for the Bernie supports on DU, it would serve them better to discuss the reasons they support Bernie rather than hurliing insults and dismissing Hillary as an incarnation of Darth Vader.
Hillary is far from the perfect candidate. If all was right with the world, Paul Wellstone wouldn't have died in a horrible plane crash and would be running for president now. It is what it is. Hillary has great intellect, truly does care about the lives of Americans, and is a good Democrat. Is she as left as I am? No. Is that necessarily a bad thing? I don't think so. Hillary has proven that she has the ability to deal with very difficult people, hard right republicans in the Congress and crazy foreign despots alike. I think that is a talent that is one of the most important qualities in a president. I am not sure that Bernie has the temperament, that is why I decided to support Hillary.

(7,286 posts)I READ YOUR POSTS TOO AND FEEEL EVERY WORD MY DEMOCRATIC BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE SAYING. Sometimes I feel like you could fit the people who don't hate Hillary in a phone booth
We must must keep the faith. We must must stay strong in our convictions.
IT IS NOT US AGAINST THEM. It is we and our future.
Forget for a moment about those who are trying to goad us into hides. Forget for a moment how we feel.
And think about what our candidate goes thru, has been thru, and will face as president. She fights with the courage of her convictions.
We must find strength and faith and knowledge in that, just like her.
Keep the faith all y'all we got this.

(9,265 posts)Can't deal with the Hillary-hate. Seems like a lot of people forgot that we are ALL Democrats and that the other side is who we should be fighting, not each other.
If it's any consolation, it's no different over there. I see stuff on FB from a Tea Party Patriot from Texas (nice guy otherwise), a Cruz fan, calling Rubio an "establishment RINO." Of course we all know that R's "fall in line." Starting to wonder about us.
