(1,968 posts)They're really rather nasty either way, and now they're super, super annoyed about superdelegates.
They're just very angry people.
Me? I'm with her.

(1,545 posts)There are still a few sad, sorry souls who have not felt the Bern. It is their duty to spread the word of Bernie throughout the land, lest the unrepentant perish in sin.

(42,296 posts)but that's just me. I obviously don't feel the bern!

I do not envy the immense burden they bear. So little time, so many corporatist warmonger shills to re-educate.
they notice that the NH "win" wasn't all that stellar. Clinton still walks out with 9 delegates.
It wasn't a simple coronation of their candidate and this annoys them.

And yes, as the losses mount, they'll go from aghast to furious to explosive to very quiet to gone.
I can work with that.

(31,228 posts)have shifted. It's like the Occupy movement. They started out very enthusiastic. It was just a big old party in the park. And then the weather changed, and the exuberance was quickly replaced with something else. I get the feeling we're witnessing the same phenomenon with BS.
If, by some miracle, BS were ever to become POTUS, I give him 6 months, and they'll turn on him. The office of POTUS is the ultimate "establishment" position. As soon as the red meat speeches are all done, you actually have to go to work, and the sausage making isn't quite as glamorous, and that's where the "revolutionaries" begin to lose interest.

(1,968 posts)but it never burned out! Or so I've been assured, anyway.
Personally, when he starts losing, I think they'll turn on him at that point and the purity vetting will twist back on Sanders. The problem with anger candidates is that, ultimately, that anger can get radiated in any direction.
But yes, if elected he'd get six months...or less. I'd probably be duly impressed, but my opinion is quite low. They have nowhere to go but downward.
