Hillary Clinton

I thought I had seen the worst BS fanatics could throw against Hillary, but nope.
They reached a new low today, savagely attacking a man that actually put his life on the line to better mankind, John Lewis.
BS aint good enough to tie that mans shoes and today they are foaming at the mouth with vile insults about him!
We will see what this low road dirty campaign style will get you in non-all white states Bernie!
John Lewis on Bernie Sanders' work in the civil rights movement: "I never saw him. I never met him."

"Enjoy your Clinton money, John,"
"Sad when a good man like John Lewis takes the low road."

(15,951 posts)This is a man who was beat up and insulted and spat upon for years to gain basic civil rights for people and to be made to be somebody who can be bought and paid for is outrageous.

(30,058 posts)John Lewis, we have so much to learn from his hard works, we can not learn if we are shouting. They can say what they want and when the smoke clears John Lewis will still be standing taller than the others.

(90,681 posts)99. I just saw this clip on MSNBC! Am just about laughing my ass off....
ROFLMAO for freaking obvious reasons. We keep trying to tell the mystified acolytes that BOTH Clintons have a relationship with the AA community going back decades.
Last night I engaged with someone who kept asking what the "secret sauce" was, and every time I said it was no secret I was given some version of "You won't answer my question."
Let me repeat, once again, HILLARY CLINTON FORGED RELATIONSHIPS GOING BACK ALMOST 50 YEARS AND IT IS NOT A SECRET.
JURY: There is no secret sauce. Relationships matter in politics as in life.
JURY: I am posting this in the HRC Group.

(15,438 posts)I'm becoming increasingly convinced that a lot of Republicans have come in under the support-Bernie banner is outright attacking good and solid Democrats every chance they get. For the life of me, can't level-headed Bernie supporters see this and put a stop to this??

(90,681 posts)All of a sudden I have four. You know what that means.
When a person can get dinged for essentially echoing what was in the post they are responding to, you know something is seriously wrong with the system. These days I often repeat the OP verbatim in my reply, with quotes around it, and a note to the Jury. On general principles I often add an explanatory note about, for instance, literary style. So far, so good, but it can't last, I am sure.

And that may be the last time I clarify anything on behalf of Sanders.

"Two champions" "Two heroes". As if there's comparison.
How is Sanders a hero?

(44,173 posts)Bernie needs to do a better job at controlling his own supporters.
The sexists. The Bernie Bros. The LW Clinton haters. The Naderities. The Left Baggers.
It just needs to stop.

(32,609 posts)I saw a post suggesting he have his head examined; an obvious reference to John's beating on Bloody Sunday. I just had to shut it down.
This is just so sad.

(42,329 posts)so sad to see this. There are few people I admire more in this world than John Lewis. For people to smear him because he doesn't support their chosen candidate, to demean his lifetime of sacrifice and achievement... I don't have anything but contempt for those so short-sighted.

(297,209 posts)It's kinda a badge of honor when you consider the source. John Lewis has a place in history.. he's been up against tougher situations than BS fans.

(28,270 posts)I can't believe a man like John Lewis would get smeared and trashed on a democratic message board.
Just damn

(15,220 posts)Look, disagreement is a healthy thing for the most part. DU used to have healthy disagreement. Now, it's turned to ugliness and cynicism when posters disagree with the mass majority. In my opinion, I see a lot more ugly remarks coming from Sanders supporters than Clinton supporters.
The fact that I choose to support Hillary should be respected on a Democratic discussion board. I have, personally, not disrespected anyone who dares disagree with my choice, and I should be able to expect the same consideration on here. Unfortunately, it's not the case.
Hillary has proven time and time again that she is a fighter for issues that are important to me. Her plan and ideas are more reasonable and realistic than Sanders are in my opinion. Hillary understands that she must ask for the reasonable. Not promise the stars knowing full well that she cannot deliver.
It's all well and good for Senator Sanders to address issues of income inequality, health care, etc., but if it were as easy as he makes it appear to implement those ideas, President Obama would most assuredly have accomplished a whole lot more in his eight years in office. The stark reality is that the office of President is only one part of an interactive government, and the individual holding that office will never get his/her way on all issues.
