Everything is reduced to talking points with him, but Senator Clinton (then) gave an important speech emphasizing a need for extreme caution in any actions taken regarding "war" with Iraq. She never gave a carte blanche okay to what wound up happening. A door was opened, but the Bush/Cheney administration tore it off the hinges and took full advantage of the trust of Americans and the trust and support of allied nations.
