Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumIt has been brought to our attention that Hillary's Group has been called out in the BS Group.
So just to be clear..
I won't post a link like they did.. but the crux of the call out is that we have so many more Blocked posters than they do.. that we are "intolerant of Democrats.." lol
We have more Blocked intruders because more bern fans come in here to disrupt.
The thread doesn't mention that anytime anyone goes into their group without 100% fealty to bernie sanders.. they get Blocked, too.
They have their group and the whole rest of the board to bash Hillary.. we have our Group to get away from all that. And the ones who come in here can't stand even that.
P.S. If you don't like being replied to when you can't reply back.. here's a clue.. don't come in here in the first place. Don't set yourself up to be blocked.

(11,555 posts)More and more "new" posters show up and the vast majority start out on their first post bashing Hillary. What are the odds of that being a coincidence?
I also have seen so called Bernie "supporters" bragging about being banned by the Hillary group. They consider it a badge of honor I guess. Actually the Bernie group has 3 outlets to trash and bash in. The GDP, the Bernie Sanders group, and we can't forget their "populist reform of the Democratic party" group, where the "anyone but Hillary" party began here on DU.

(135,425 posts)YEARS or more.
The Sanders group is less than a year old.
Let's divide the number of blocks by the the number of years in existence, and see which group comes out on top!
Let's also see how many of these blocked beauties are now known as "NAME REMOVED."
I got blocked from that group because one of the self-important hosts didn't like the fact that I corrected someone who claimed that no one was covering a Bernie event. To correct the person, I PROVIDED A LINK TO LIVE COVERAGE. The excuse given was that I wasn't sufficiently "supportive" of Sanders. I assume I was "insufficiently supportive" because I refused to go along with the prevailing touting of a complete falsehood.
At the time, I had an open mind towards his candidacy--I wasn't judging him by his supporters.
Now, if his policies aren't pipe-dreamy enough, his supporters totally ice my cake. I have a hard time telling the difference between them and the crew that favors Trump...the "brook no dissent" attitude is beyond offensive to me. That's not at all big D Democratic, IMO. They want everyone who doesn't adore Bernie out of the Big Tent. They'll find themselves out in a field in a pup tent if they keep that attitude up.
Cha
(319,076 posts)Hillary started her campaign for POTUS.
So many everyday for almost a year now.. and then all the years before.. it certainly does add up to over 500 blocked.
There's no spin to make that look good for them.

(15,438 posts)Most of us - including me - have been banned before we even found this group. Some are still posting in the GDP and GD and not a part of this Group and maybe they're the ones wading into the BS Group. I don't see any reason to wade in there myself. None. Nada. And since being banned months ago and before coming here, I haven't been back since I've trashed that group so I won't have to see them and accidentally enter.
But we continuously get Berners posting here attacking Hillary Clinton and/or her supporters - and then claim they didn't know they were in the Hillary Clinton Group. Ya, right. The moment you click on the Reply button, you can see the name of the Forum of Group right under the Reply Title - just like I do now. Most Berners are even given the chance to either delete their post or just go away, and the vast majority decide to post another nasty response instead before they're banned.

(17,577 posts)Early on, and I mean MONTHS ago, I answered a post in the Sanders group and honestly didn't even realize that I was in a group because I believe I viewed the message from the Greatest Page. My reply was completely and utterly mundane.
I was banned without explanation. So my conclusion was that the moderators of that group weren't interested in any meaningful exchange but were, rather, only interested in posts that completely agree with their views.
THAT is not why I come to a DISCUSSION board. I come here to discuss; not to be indoctrinated.

(1,968 posts)Outnumbered six to one by Bernie supporters.
This group has been here for eight years, as opposed to the one year or so for the Bernie group.
We seem to be slightly better about not invading Bernie-Space than they are about invading Hillary-Space.
So logic would dictate far greater than six times the number of blocks here by far. Not having the data in front of me, I can't tell you what the proportion is (and being completely incurious, I'm not going to bother).

(17,865 posts)And about being "intolerant of Democrats", I think they have that backwards. Sanders is not a Democrat. It's the Hillary supporters who are the Democrats, and the BS'ers are so far left fringe they are the Tea Party of the left.
And I'll be glad when this board returns to Democrats after Super Tuesday.

(12,533 posts)I'm new to the site, so I don't know the history of this blocking war. But I have read enough dishonest and misleading headlines from the front page and elsewhere to know that Saint Bernard's online supporters are completely adverse to facts and figures and are quick to shout down any & all criticism.
As far as being 'intolerant of Democrats?' This is par for the course. They take their own activity and name-calling and direct it towards Hillary supporters. It's actually reminiscent of GOP strategy, 101: repeat the Big Lie frequently enough and the peeps will believe it.
Until they don't.

(67,782 posts)....(I think this is what you said there?)
The owner of this site admits that Sanders supporters outnumber Clinton supporters by about 6-1. So all things being equal there would be SIX times more blocks in the Clinton group, but there are only about two times more. That means that Clinton hosts are one-third less likely to ban than Sanders hosts.

(36,669 posts)as I stated in that thread (as a Sanders supporter) I thought the OP was missing a key element. Of course the HC group may block more individuals, but that is because DU itself has many more members supporting Sanders. It's just a numbers thing.
I think it's fair to assume that there are folks who unintentionally reply to threads without realizing which group they are in (that happens in our socialist progressives group sometimes). And of course there are a few who come to DU only with intentions to stir the pot.
