Bernie's seance

So far, I've seen Sanders supporters claim on various threads that Martin Luther King, Jesus, Pete Seeger, and John Lennon would support BS if they were still alive. I'm sure I've missed a few. Anyone else turning over in the grave lately?

But, Joe, I said, you're 5 years dead.

Those others, I'm not so sure what they'd want.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Rude, over-the-top. "Bernie's Seance"?!
inappropriate

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Feb 21, 2016, 02:50 PM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Flame biating - Button-pushing.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Over the top? No. Humorous? Yes. And it's true. Leave it.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: oh well somebody snarked. So what? Not hide-worthy.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The alerter is annoyed by an astute and amusing observation and therefore wants to hide it.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Sanders does not have a deflector shield around him that prevents negative comments, not even here. Typical abuse of the alert system to stifle discussion.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Another in the long line of stupid alerts by a zealot from one side or the other. Get some thicker skin. No one is being humiliated or hurt here. Leave it alone.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: NO, it's not OTT.. Lay off the damn Alert button just because you disagree with a Hillary supporter.

I'm getting tired of this corrupt system where the majority are BSrs and if they don't like something they run to the jury to censor, and if they get enough hides that person has to leave.. Too much whining going on.. they shouldn't be allowed to alert on Nothing.

That's not democratic.. it's tyranny.

And, it really is quite appropriate alerter since bern is being compared to all these people who are no longer here.

And, can't speak for themselves.

...this is what his daughter Roseanne has had to say about it:
http://www.cmt.com/news/1592967/rosanne-cash-issues-statement-on-use-of-johnny-cashs-name/

On Aug. 1, 2008, country artist John Rich, was quoted at a rally for John McCain as saying, “I’m sure Johnny Cash would have been a John McCain supporter if he was still around.” The quote ran on CMT.com. Since then, Johnny Cash’s daughter Rosanne Cash sent CMT.com the following statement:

“It is appalling to me that people still want to invoke my father’s name, five years after his death, to ascribe beliefs, ideals, values and loyalties to him that cannot possibly be determined and to try to further their own agendas by doing so. I knew my father pretty well, at least better than some of those who entitle themselves to his legacy and his supposed ideals, and even I would not presume to say publicly what I ‘know’ he thought or felt. This is especially dangerous in the case of political affiliation. It is unfair and presumptuous to use him to bolster any platform. I would ask that my father not be co-opted in this election for either side since he is clearly not here to defend or state his own allegiance.”

Boom!

That quote reminds me why. No one really knows who dead icons would support.
