(30,058 posts)I would think the show would indicate it is a stupid move to run the same thing over and over. People were tired of the debates. We are not the GOP. If our candidate can not present their agenda in six debates then twenty more is not going to help. We should be presenting qualified candidates who know who they are. It is disappointing to see possible candidates jumping on the limited debates and making an issue of this.

Good post, thanks.

(28,270 posts)Knowing that just about no one knows who their candidate is out side of internet political boards like DU
He is a non factor in every poll as well.

(53,661 posts)The thing is, that their Messiah would never behave the petty way some are doing. All olive branches offered are sharpened into arrows and shot back at the heart of those who offer them.
I do wish some HRC supporters would cool their jets in deference to finding common ground. Most do, but some don't. Of course there is going to be ill feelings about some of the trash being flung unjustly and ignorantly at Hillary. Myself and others have noted that many of the worst of the cult posted the same things about Democrats and Obama. Posting facts to rebut them is as effective as it is with Dittoheads.
I love Bernie and Hillary. They are fine candidates, and there really is not that much daylight between them. But some want to sell a brand (how very GOP of them to do so) by slogan and degrading other Democrats, and saying how much better he is.
I agree with a poster who replied to a negative thread, degrading Obama and Clinton vs Sanders with a picture meme, with Obama and Clinton on the left and Sanders on the right as being better than them:
...Both of those on the left have challenged power in a way that Bernie Sanders never has, or ever could, no disrespect to him. They have pushed back against institutions and power structures that have been in place for centuries and millennia. To do so is no easy task, no matter how privileged a background they came from. That has had real and positive effects on millions in this country.
If you think that becoming the first black president in a nation whose history is rife with racial horrors, a genocide, and an enslavement of an entire people is not standing with the people against entrenched power, think again. That was, is, and always will be a triumph of the people in this nation, and it takes courage to do so. He has fought with stunning calm against one of the worst threads of history in this country despite the intense, blatant, and direct hatred thrown his way.
If you think that her positions of power have not inspired millions of girls in this country, than you are very wrong. Clinton's accomplishments (and that they are, like her or not) have shown so many that there can be strong women. She has fought harder for women than the vast majority of men in our government, and that, to me, is more than just something. She has challenged a multi-thousand year old beast that still refuses to die, and I fully support that.
For all my criticisms of those two politicians, I refuse to ignore or diminish those things. You can argue that their policies have made these same things they fought against worse--I would not disagree. But that was a stand with the people, for the people, by the people, and it can not and should not be taken away from the people. This meme is theft of those accomplishments.

That post was only locked after an uproar was created in other groups. It immediately became the Anti-Clinton group, just as the Warren group did. Instead of keeping to their SOP, they spent all their time on the attack, and one even banned 1SBM. So much for 'progressive' banners.
I am and and I think some others, are pointing out the facts that contradict the negativity. DU has been reading like a right wing research source for some time, instead of pointing out our great alternatives to the GOP.
Thanks for your continued work.

(41,832 posts)very thoughtful.
I don't like to see OTT Bernie bashing either. I try to stay positive about Clinton.
It doesn't help cool things off when they spam the site though.
I could do the same thing... take wonderful Clinton quotes and put her picture with it and make a post.
