Desperation? Bernie Goes Hard Negative on Hillarys Integrity (and thus Obamas) by Peter DaouYou learn a lot about a candidate when they lose an election. Bernies campaign hit a wall in Nevada and after huddling with his campaign advisers (we assume) to determine his strategy going forward, he has come out swinging even harder at Hillarys integrity.
*****
Every time Bernie uses the Wall Street dog whistle, hes indirectly smearing President Obama. Or, worse yet, hes accusing a woman of doing something that he gives a man a pass for.
****
Make no mistake, Bernies campaign message and the behavior of his supporters have become less about something and more against someone. His path to victory runs right through Hillarys integrity. Its a deeply regrettable turn of events in an election where Bernie had initially vowed to stay positive and issue-driven.
*****
Bernie is now presiding over a campaign and a contingent of supporters who are willing to treat Hillary more disdainfully than Karl Rove, the Koch brothers, and the GOP. Crossing that line is crossing to the dark side of politics. Surfing a wave of hate for one of the most admired and respected women on the planet is beneath him and beneath any true Democrat.

(30,058 posts)If the best he has to offer is negative attacks on Hillary then it does not fly with me. Just proving he does not have the necessary qualifications to be president.

(297,220 posts)Huerta like she was her housekeeper has gone viral and not going to help the bern. Thanks SS.
And, oh please.. sanders has already gone all pull out the stops negative. That lie he's telling about winning the Latino vote is out, too.. It's pronounced a Big Mistake.
berni's been desperate for awhile and now he's only getting worse.
"There is no Bernie revolution. Democratic turnout is down. There is nothing but the harsh truth that America could veer sharply right in November and we need our candidates intact, not mangled and battered."
shit's gonna backfire on sanders.
Gracias yellerdawg.

I wish Dolores Huerta had said to Sarandon "Do you know about Loreal, and it's Global Conglomerate, Child labor Violations & Racism in Marketing?
Guess who owns the lobbying firm for L'Oreal's slave labor mining company? You'll never guess
http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511310239
Merck - ah Merck.
Merck pays the PODESTA GROUP to lobby for it in the US.
You may remember the Podesta Group as it's co-owned by Hillary's CAMPAIGN CHAIRMAN.
The Podesta Group has also donated and bundled hundreds of grand for... you guessed it... Hillary Clinton.
Meaning that some of Hillary's campaign is paid for with profits from... Child slave labour...
Cha
(297,220 posts)but the BS fans are sticking up for SS.. bringing in Demi Lavato for the rebuttal. lol
But all that deflection doesn't mean anything.. SS had no business getting all up in Delores Huerta's grill.. she needed to back up and take a seat.

(1,968 posts)Per pound of soap colored with mica, about 1/32nd of a tablespoon is quite sufficient. 1/16th for very dense color.
Greater amounts are required in cosmetics due to the opacity of most bases, but they still don't add a great deal. You don't want your nose to be shiny due to the makeup and diffusely reflective lips look unnatural.

Just like the Republican Benghazi Committee. It will hurt her, and, "We'll find something." That's where you draw your playbook from?
More of that 'higher standard' no one else is held to.

(24,565 posts)If you don't, that is in and of itself evidence...proof I tells ya!!!!...that you are evil, corrupt, a Wall St. w**** primed and ready to undo the New Deal, a kitten kicker, and an unfit grandmother.
Some days I am simply overcome with sadness that this once great party, one that welcomed diversity, fought for equality and human rights, has been reduced to standing in the gutter slinging mud at the most respected woman in the world and hatred at the very icons of civil rights movements. Zealotry is not a democratic value.

(22,143 posts)Establishment ! ( anyone other than Bernie is the Establishment), Corporations! ( anyone in a union works for a corporation).
He is alienating a good portion of the population with his mantra and rallying cry to his supporters. He offers nothing but divisiveness with his Us vs Them campaign.
I watched his news conference yesterday which was nothing news worthy. He looked tired and defeated and only gave his stump speech. The poor people he dragged to stand behind him looked bored.

It's been like this pretty much from the get-go with the loudest Sanders supporters. There are a few silent ones who don't believe this at all and who truly choose Sanders over Hillary for differing issues, but the loudest, most obnoxious simply hate Hillary. That's my take on it, anyway.
That said, now the Sanders campaign is turning very negative, knowing that the end is nigh. Bernie won't have his revolution - that became pretty much clear since NH - with lower turnout than 2008 - and he'll soon be relegated to the bin of history as just another "I ran, too!".

(16,104 posts)You know, Hillary Clinton now is trying to embrace the President as closely as she possibly can. Everything the President does is wonderful. She loves the President, he loves her and all that stuff. And we know what thats about. Thats trying to win support from the African American community where the President is enormously popular. But you know what? I have enormous respect for the President. Hes a friend. We have worked together. I think he has done a great job in many respects. But you know what? Like any other human being, he is wrong on certain issues.
He definitely never read this book: "How to Win Friends & Influence People"

(11,583 posts)Hillary supporters realize that "wall street" has become an idiom for all big business. The wall street versus main street narrative has been getting big play in this nomination battle, but the truth is that Hillary Clinton has been the victim of a major big business campaign against her for some time. Big Business (aka Wall Street) knows that Hillary Clinton is a threat--not an enabler like the Republican candidates. She WILL raise taxes on them, she WILL close lucrative tax loopholes, she WILL fight to end the revolving door as well as outrageous board-member compensation packages, and she WILL impose tougher regulations that so that shadow banks/investing will no longer be able to ravage our economy unchecked. She will also fulfill her promise to make sure any trade deals protect the interests of American workers, and much more.
Sanders knows this.
Sanders also knows that the bulk of the support Hillary Clinton receives from the actual "Wall Street" in New York is due to the people who work there and remember how Hillary Clinton stepped up for them after 9/11. She got things done--they know it--they support her.
Sanders ought to be ashamed.

From wiki:
"Citizens freakin' United" was all about Hillary!
The cognitive dissonance of this whole fantastical Hillary bashing narrative is as outlandish as every other unfounded accusation.
