HILLARY CLINTON ROOM
That is what comes to my mind when I read the op that says GD should be made for Sanders supporters and we just have our own group if we don't support him.
How dare we have a different opinion!
Posted in the HRC room.

(11,175 posts)To that end, it will be useful if everyone asks a question before posting: "If my candidate wins the nomination, how will this post affect our chances of bringing the other candidates' supporters on board?"
Criticism of candidates should be "uninhibited, robust and wide-open," in Justice Brennan's words. Imputation of improper motives to a candidate's supporters, however, is pointless and can leave wounds that linger after the Convention adjourns.
DUers who support Hillary Clinton are not getting checks from Goldman Sachs, which they use to buy monogrammed yacht covers. DUers who support a different candidate are not a bunch of sexist pigs who can't bear the thought of a successful woman. All such comments run afoul of Adlai Stevenson's sage advice: "Mud thrown is ground lost."

(297,184 posts)Bernie was one of the most effective mayors that Burlington ever had, Weinberger said. Im supporting Hillary because I think shes the right person at the right time, and I think shell be a great president.
Weinberger, the first Democrat elected mayor in the city for 31 years, declined to elaborate. Sanders has long been an independent, but caucuses with Democrats in the Senate and is seeking the Democratic nomination for president.
Its worth noting Clintons team has deep Vermont ties. Her campaign manager, Robby Mook, hails from the Green Mountain State and is a familiar face in Democratic politics. He worked on former Vermont governor Howard Deans bid for the presidency in 2004.

So that leaves Hillary in the middle where most presidents get elected.
I guess it just pisses off both sides lolz

(28,270 posts)No way is Bernie Sanders ever going to be elected president! He's got the same chance as I do of winning the office!
He won't even come close to the nomination ffs!
So in these months before the election Bernie's followers will be trying like hell to tear down Hillary's campaign.
The only people to benefit from all this is the Republican party and their stooge candidates.
Why do democrats want to help the dammed republicans?
I don't get it.

(10,565 posts)Not knowing I was in it. I only asked some questions about Bernie's campaign- good legit questions that need to be asked. Very touchy over there. It's been ok to trash Hillary for months but anything besides rainbows and happy talk and bam! I've been here since 04. Never seen anything like it. Sad really. I've begun to wonder if moderate Democrats have a place here.

(135,425 posts)I got blocked for telling them that CNN WAS covering Sanders' announcement after someone griped that they weren't.
I provided links.
I was deemed "insufficiently enthusiastic" and got the banhammer as well. Badge of honor, I guess! While I welcomed him to the primary and won't trash-talk the guy (I mean, really, what's to trash talk? One can disagree, and even see him as not viable, and not be shitty about it--his heart is certainly in the right place), I won't be voting for him in the primary.
If lightning strikes and he gets the nomination, he'll get my vote. I always say the worst Democrat (even if they're actually an independent running as a Democratic Socialist or Socialist Democrat) is better than the best Republican.

(6,568 posts)In '08 we both supported Kucinich (I'm a native Floridian, she's from Ohio).
However, being Florida residents, and thanks to the Florida Democratic Party, we knew early on our primary votes wouldn't count (due to the FL Dem Party pushing up the primary so it wouldn't count on the national level) in the Presidential race. Neither of us voted in that column, but did vote for the best Dems we could for the rest of the races.

(30,058 posts)Blog. I can assure them I would not be there. My impression of DU was a Democrat blog who is very concerned about electing Democrats. Climbing on and riding Hillary's back will not bring victory for Bernie. The polls I saw today shows Bernie at 6%, he has several points before being in the lead.

I say some.. because all are not like that.. but, the ones who are sure make up for the ones who aren't.

I don't even have a candidate yet but I cannot stand the disrespect of Hillary's supporters by some the same who were telling Obama's supporters to go back to the BOG.. like they owned the joint. Hubristic bullies.
