The computer interface was not the best, so we ended up using hardcopy lists and then entering results into the computer.... a much simpler interface. Does everyone use VoteBuilder.com? I think the interfaces are set up by local campaigns.

Some of us do it at home or at our local dem hq. This system makes the calls from the computer and we input the data after reaching the targeted voter.

Last week one of the people I reached was a 91 year old woman. She was very sharp and immediately volunteered that she loves Hillary. We chatted a bit and she explained that she is living in a swing-bed unit and unable to get to the caucus. She is very pissed that there is no absentee provision for the caucus.

She spoke a bit about her faith and why she hopes it will get her through to November so she can vote in the general. Our conversation was coming to an end and realizing how important her faith is to her (I am agnostic btw) I mentioned Hillary's motto "Do as much as you can..." and she finished "for as many as you can for as long as you can".

She then told me that if I see Hillary please tell her that Clara B_____ loves her and will try to be there for her in November and beyond.

It took a minute before I could make the next call as I reflected on the changes Clara has experienced over her life and her enduring good spirit.

I live in a medium size town and I asked a few people if they know her and it turns out she used to own a flower shop. How perfect. It fits her.

and am going to use the information they provide. Not sure if that is what you are referring to or not. I don't know a whole lot about this, I just wanted to start getting involved.

You remember the good calls.

btw - We need a new Voting Rights Act to mandate absentee voting in the caucus states. In some states if you are a senior, differently abled or work Saturdays there is no way to vote in the primary.

Any suggestions for how to get started making calls?

It was nice in 2012 to just be able to use that website that served you numbers to call!

in Montgomery AL - using the notorious VAN voter lists.

A significant majority (who picked up on a Saturday!) we're for Hillary - no questions asked - and a few we're undecided but leaning towards Hillary (who only needed to be asked, and they stopped leaning! ).

It was a cool experience, and invigorated us as much of the people loved to talk about Hillary!

Then, the 'Hillary for America" crowd went down and watched Bill Clinton work the Alabama State University crowd for GOTV!

Ready for Tuesday!
