Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumRachel just told Tulsi Gabbard
that her endorsement "gave an enormous boost" to the Sanders campaign.
I'm not sure about that, but it sure gave an enormous boost to the amount of face time Tulsi gets on TV.

(4,868 posts)Hillary sent kids to die in wars. Attacking veterans and current Army Reserve members is disgraceful.

(1,033 posts)A political commentary isn't attacking a veteran.
An attack would be closer to what Sanders supporters did to Civil Rights hero John Lewis after he endorsed Clinton. THAT was disgraceful.

Besides she didn't help sanders.. he lost Super Tuesday and he lost Massachusetts most of all.

Stuckinthebush
(10,844 posts)Good for her for speaking her mind and standing by her candidate. She won't have a long political career, however. But, that's not necessarily a bad thing I guess. Politics is brutal business.

(4,868 posts)Feel free to actually debate the facts instead of attacking a combat veteran who put her life on the line for this country.

(32,609 posts)jftr - I know exactly what she was talking about but most of America has no clue.
ETA: I have a number of close relatives in the military and they can only do military-think and it is very limiting.

(4,868 posts)I haven't attacked Clinton in the least. What I have done is defended an Iraq war veteran and fellow Democrat from unheralded attacks.

Defending an Iraq war veteran. The post had nothing to do with her Service. Jesus. So weak

(6,537 posts)Uncalled for, unjustified maybe but unheralded doesn't really fit what he's trying to say. It means not acknowledged or acclaimed, or not announced. Weird.

Her Sister
(6,444 posts)"But the case of Tulsi Gabbard becomes less curious and more expected once you look at her links to a different set of ethnic and religious hardliners: the Hindu nationalist Indian Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Since her election to Congress, Gabbard has tied herself closely to this party, which has a history of condoning hatred and violence against India's Muslim minority. Many of her stateside donors and supporters are also big supporters of this movement, which disdains secularism and promotes religious sectarianism."
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)OR...it could all just be a collective hatred against a TRUE-BLUE Democrat, Hillary Clinton. Strange that President Obama doesn't share in their strong dislike for Hillary Clinton - and he knows her best.
I'll trust President Obama's judgment of Hillary Clinton's character than some tiny U.S. Rep who ran as a Democrat but who votes and supports policies like a Republican.

(15,438 posts)But, of course, he's happy with her endorsement. After all, isn't it his goal to destroy the Democratic Party from the inside out?
I hope that when Hillary sends his behind back to the Senate, he loses all support from Dems and all his posh chair positions as well. He wants to be independent? Let him be the island he believes himself to be.
