I was once blocked for getting into an argument with another poster there. I appealed it and it was removed. I since had to put that poster and about a half dozen others on ignore because of their toxicity and my participation rate dropped.

This time, however, I was blocked within minutes of disavowing that call out thread created by a troll who got banned, particularly because the sentiment is not something Sanders would be for. I disavow it because it is not who I am, and who Sanders is. It looks bad on me, a supporter who actually got delegates (and indirectly a state) for Sanders, and it looks bad on a great man. This is not hard stuff to understand.

I like being able to have the freedom to support my preferred candidate, particularly because my state went for Sanders. Since I believe the block is in error I will wait to see what they have to say.

DU has been mortally ill for some time now. The level of toxicity and the regular reposting of discredited B***S*** from RW websites that are allowed to stand and that receive hundreds of recs here are far cries from mere disagreements about which candidate to support. Disagreements are a healthy part of democracy. But the constant and deliberate vilification of an outstanding Dem candidate to the extent recently demonstrated and the constant and deliberate vilification and alert-stalking of her staunchest supporters is something that has only heretofore been seen to this extent by GOPers on those same RW websites.

This is something that should rightly be condemned and those who continue to act in such a manner and those who support them should no longer be welcome in any fashion whatsoever. Either that or DU as it once stood proudly is doomed.
