I was just in my local Lowes store.

I was ready to check out but the cashier, a woman about 45, and a young man probably about 20 were discussing the Duggars. I pretended to be interested in the contents of the beverage cooler so I could just listen and so she would not break off their conversation to wait on me.

What I heard was a diatribe against pedophiles with tv shows, Teaparty congressmen re: abortion, religious nuts, Republicans in general, and religions that exist for the purpose of enslaving women. She kept saying they are all sick, sick, sick.

She took a breath and her final comment was - I have never voted for a Democrat in my life but I will be voting for Hillary. I can't wait. I am sick of this war on women.

At that point I moved on to the check out point. I said to her that I heard her comment about voting for Hillary and I was right there with her. As proof of her anger she pulled up her shirt sleeve to show me her arm hair was standing on end. She was emphatic that I must understand that there is a war against women and we have got to stop it. I nodded politely and said right there with you.

I walked across the parking lot saying wow, just wow, and got in my car and did several fist pumps combined with Yes! Yes! Yes!

just under the surface for a lot of women; women who don't usually think about their vote as having a direct connection to their lives. That is why I was so surprised by the cashier. I was thinking I would need to make the connection for her but she went there all on her own.

Remember that cashier after we get materials to pass out.

I suspect a lot of conservative women feel the same.

there is absolutely nothing stopping the war on women even though the majority do not support it. it is just evil - not a word I use very often.

I know more Republicans from work/my neighbors than I know liberals (damned conservative part of the country!), but many Republican women were saying this, and meaning it, before. I am sure they are still ready to vote for Hillary. More shocking to me was a woman who has never voted who said that if Hillary was on the ticket, she was going to register and vote.

Many people get that the attacks on Hillary are just nonsense. Ordinary people see through the barrage of right wing propaganda against the Clintons. It is one of the reasons the Washington media hates the Clintons so much. The Clintons know they do not need to kowtow to the media insiders and this drives the media people wild.

The national party made a mistake in 2008 by not backing HRC about the Michigan and Florida primaries. They should have backed HRC and had Obama run as VP. This would have blunted the racists and taken away their ammunition. By the time Obama would have run on his own in 2016, the racist crap would not have worked after Obama had 8 years as VP. All the hate would have been spewed at HRC and would be seen as the nonsense it is. Which is what this dear lady at Lowes is demonstrating. Lots of people are really tired of being lied to and the demonization of minorities and women. They are figuring out that the GOP used the race card to scare them into voting against their own interests.

I really hope they run Julian Cruz as VP with HRC. I think O'Malley is auditioning, but I love Julian Cruz.

much was made about how Republicans and Republican-leaning independents are coming over our way.

We even have two ex-Republicans on our ballot this year.

They have overplayed their hand, and now that they are losing women, it's all over.

(Well, I hope it's all over-- and I hope if Hillary gets the nomination women's groups will be out there fighting)
