"An Image of an Apple Tree" An Essay by Nancy the Artist...(The Beauty of Complex Solutions)

For a long time there have been some on the political left who have believed in a utopian fantasy but the utopian fantasy is also just an image only unlike the barbaric image that attracts those on the right this image is more beautiful like the beautiful image of an apple tree but just as the image of the apple tree the utopian image that captivates many on the left is also just an image and therefore it also is unable to bear fruit.

and insightful and reads almost like poetry.

The possibility of something real is so much more fulfilling than promises that will never come true. How is it that some of us may appreciate aspects of Bernie yet not be swept away by his visions of utopia the way some of his true believers are?

I find myself less and less enamored with the Senator and his charm has worn very thin. It is reassuring to know others also see and are unsettled by the effect he seems to have on some supporters. He is just a man. And a man who is repetitive and impatient and angry pretty much all the time. Nevermind that his temperament is exhausting, I truly do not think he will be able to handle the rigors of the Presidency.

Wonderful essay, thank you so much for sharing it!
