Murdered an indigenous governor of Nariño
BOGOTA, 30 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -
Inda Guacaray Governor of the Awa indigenous community, Juan Alvaro Pai, was killed in the early hours of Saturday at his home in a rural area of Tumaco in Nariño (southwest), as reported by local authorities .
Apparently, two men on a motorcycle have raided the house of Pai, located in the village of La Guayacana, and has been shot six times, causing instant death.
The mayor of the municipality of Tumaco, Victor Gallo, has already condemned the murder of Pai, which was characterized by his defense of the rights of the indigenous communities of Nariño Pacific.
