Nine Cubans arrive on south Florida beach after 10 days in boat

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-2767295/Nine-Cubans-arrive-south-Florida-beach-10-days-boat.html

By David Adams

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla., Sept 23 (Reuters) - Nine Cubans came ashore in a homemade boat on a south Florida beach on Tuesday afternoon saying they had been at sea for 10 days, according to eyewitnesses.

"They were very excited when they got onto the beach," said Cristina Plihal, who watched from her beachfront condo in Key Biscayne, a wealthy island village near downtown Miami.

All I can say is "wow." It's a miracle they survived the traverse, let alone not need any medical attention. Good thing they'll also be allowed to stay since they managed to set foot on ground before being intercepted. Of course, some Castro lovers here are just gonna dismiss this incident and still keep pretending that people don't want to flee their paradise island.

Let's welcome them.

They have gone through hell and were delivered.

2. Why didn't they apply for some of the 20,000 legal US immigration visas?

The US offers over 20,000 immigration visas to Cubans every year, more than any other nation. Not all are applied for every year.

Do you even care why they might have come here via exploiting the Wet Foot/Dry Foot policy?

trying to get to the US from the Americas also trying to "flee" from their leaders?

You think so?

Spend some time doing your homework on this subject, learn what so many Americans knew long ago, Don't push propaganda. They pay people to do that already.

You really have no right to tell me what's propaganda and what's not, especially when you post things concerning Venezuela, which I sure as hell know more about than any Chavistas in this forum, coming from Venezuela and all. Hell, most "leftists" here, including yourself, have never even stepped foot in LatinAmerica or speak any of the official languages in the continent. The fact of the matter is, many Cubans know about the how they'll be accepted in the US if they succeed in stepping foot on US soil via sailing, and they think it's worth risking their lives to get away from "Paradise Island." Now tell me, do you think Americans would try to do the same if the Cuban regime accepted them like the US accepts Cuban dissidents?
