'Sex tourist' trial delayed as more potential victims are found

FORT LAUDERDALE — The trial of a North Lauderdale man accused of being a "sex tourist" who traveled frequently to Colombia to have sex and make child pornography was delayed until May after prosecutors said they had discovered more underage victims..

Dennis DeJesus, 45, was arrested in October and charged with one count of traveling to another country to engage in illicit sexual conduct. He was to go on trial Monday.

Those charges would be based on interviews with "dozens of children" who may have been seen in photographs and videos found on a laptop computer seized from DeJesus' home, Viamontes said.
