Bolivian Authorities Seize 11 Tons of Marijuana
La Paz, May 7 (Prensa Latina) The Special Force for Struggle against Drug Trafficking (FELCN) reported today the seizure of 11 tons of marijuana in the municipality of San Julian, the eastern department of Santa Cruz.
According to that authority, a marijuana plantation was found in that area during a routine operation and was destroyed by police agents.
They also started an investigation to identify the proprietor of the land.
On Tuesday, FELCN seized 33 kilograms of Peruvian cocaine and a ton of Paraguayan marijuana in operations on the La Paz-Oruro road, in Villa Ingenio and Ibobo, the border with Paraguay.
According to the national director of that entity, Santiago Delgadillo, more than 76 tons of marijuana have been seized so far this year and they continue taking actions to fight drug trafficking.
