Fog catching in Peru


Clever trick against water shortage in the desert city Lima: Men stretch large sheets of thick mesh between wooden posts. For four years, they’ve been using nets to collect fog. Each net can collect up to 200 liters of water—a boon in this parched region.

growing some of your food and going hungry. They use the water for watering the gardens, not drinking. There is a pilot program in Lima that uses a billboard that doubles as a water collector that produces potable water. This is the sort of applied science that will create the future. Video at link.

Hoping to hear much more about reclaiming water where water is so hard to find.

Thanks for posting the video. Makes a person feel so much better knowing this could happen in the same world with Trump-like people.
